6: Have A Nice Break

"I don't understand.." he asked. Jane was gulping a bottle of mineral water. Things were calm down right now.

"Which part?"

"You are a judoka, but still you didn't fight when someone bullied you,"

"It's no use. I rather make them bully me than accidentally kill them," David laughed. It might be true. She's so powerful and a perfectionist as a judoka.

After Julia's leaving the school, she was called by the Oak High's Judo Team to join the state championship. She got the title in less than a year. She's a warrior.

"There's too much question rather than the answer when it comes to knowing you,"

"I called it Jane 101," she laughed. Both of them chuckled so hard.

"I kinda like your style more than Julia's. She's like a wild boar, but you just remain calm and serenity," Jane just smiled.

Then, it was silent. Either Jane or David sat down in silence for a moment. Their eyes only stared at each other. No words, just a deep gaze.

"So, you and Kevin... I heard that you two got engaged last month,"

"Sort of.."

"You sounded so dull. Are you unhappy?" and silent. It's hard for Jane to answer that.

"There's ups and downs. You know, that's what we called a relationship. But, still, I feel okay with that. We need to understand each other more," Jane answered calmly. She knew deep inside her heart, that half of that was a lie.

"Who would understand you? Hah, that took at least two years only to know what you like, what you hate. Another year to understand your hobby, your hidden talent, and understand your mood swing, another year to reach your heart.."

"You never did that..."

" Which part?" Jane just shut her mouth. She looked down. Playing with her clutch. Two years for David to know what she likes, another year to understand the situation but they were 'drowning' in the next year.

" I shouldn't keep silent. I should just spell it out,"

" About what?"

" About everything. The bully, my feelings.. everything.."

" Yeah, I think you should. I keep wondering why we ended up not speaking to each other. I sense that you keep a huge secret. That's why I asked you to wait for me during that prom night. But you didn't show up. Am I doing any harm to you?" asked David.

" No... you are a good friend. It's just... I don't know.."

" I just wanna know the truth!" Jane wiped the tears that stream down her eyes. It was a big night but turned up being the hell night for her.
