Planning a heist

The crew sailed for a few days before they finally spotted land on the horizon however, something seemed off. As they got closer they realized the land they were approaching was in chaos as if it had been attacked.

As soon as they docked their ship they were met with dead marine soldiers scatted and burned in every direction. The scene in front of them was disgusting and horrifying. " Captain, what do you think happened here?" asked Bepo as he looked around the horrible sight.

" I think they were attacked by pirates," Law answered scanning around for any sign of life or the attackers. Before the crew could react they were surrounded by a group of armed pirates demanding their surrender.

Law drew a sword ready to fight while Lami took out her spear and Bepo prepared to charge. " Lower your weapons you weak brat-." Law cut off the pirate with a slash making it clear that they are not to be messed with.

The pirates backed off as they started calling for their captain," Captain Caribou!" Law and Lami exchanged a look as they realized that they recognize the name of the captain.

Caribou was known for his brutal attacks on the Marines. " It seems that logia user is here causing trouble again,' Law said with a frown. " I call dibs on taking his down," Lami declared with determination.

" Suit yourself I only came here for that metal," replied Law as he gave Lami and Bepo a nod. The crew knew that it was going to be a tough battle as their opponent is a logia user, but they were ready for anything.

As they made their way toward a village in the distance they could hear the explosions and screams for help. They decided to run toward the village to see what was going on and stop the terror of Caribou.

The crew arrived at a scene of complete chaos - buildings on fire, people running in different directions, and Caribou's pirates plundering the village. Without hesitation, Lami unleashed a burst of her Haoshoku Haki, causing many to fall and the rest to look at her in horror.

"Let's end this quick mudman," stated Lami as she charged toward Caribou. Bepo charged toward the other pirates as Law started healing the injured villages with his Ope Ope no Mi powers.

Caribou used his mud powers to create a mud pit hopping Lami would fall but she was too quick for him. With a swift movement, she jumped over the pit and stabbed Caribou with her Haki-coated spear, causing him to yell out in pain.

" How can you hurt me a man made of mud?!" Lami smiled back at him and replied," Just cause you have a logia doesn't mean you're invincible," After some time the crew was able to defeat the pirates and saved the village.

" You have two options now Caribou, either I kill you and your crew or become one of my subordinates," announced Law as he stood in front of the defeated Caribou. Caribou looked up to Law hoping he was joking only to be faced with a serious and cold expression.

Without any further hesitation, Caribou decided to work under Law than lose his life. ' I'll definitely kill you later brat' he thought to himself.

Caribou, a notorious pirate known for his brutal attacks on the Marines and plundering of villages, was defeated by Law and his crew with ease and was forced to choose between death or servitude. He chose servitude under Law as he knew that it was the only survival option available.

Law then went on to explain to Caribou the rules of being under his command and the conditions he must follow. Caribou listened carefully and nodded knowing that death waited for him if he disobeyed.

The villages were grateful to Law and his crew and promised to help them with any information they needed. Law did not waste that opportunity and asked," Do you have any information regarding Iron ore metal?"

" How do you know about that?" asked one of the villages who was fighting Caribou earlier. "Let's just say I'm interested in buying some," Law replied with a smirk.

The village elder who was the mayor stepped up," We no longer mine Iron ore here ever since those Germa bastards looted most of it," Law's eyes widened at the mention of the Germa.

Germa 66, is a kingdom known for its advanced techniques in science and technology. Germa is led by the Vinsmoke family, one of the most families in the North Blue and their reputation spreads far and wide.

While Law was still processing the information suddenly a loud explosion was heard near the village. " Don't stress about that is just my stupid son who is always creating problems," the mayor said with a sigh.

Lami walked toward the explosion with her hands in her pocket unfazed by the explosions," So what is he up?". The mayor turned toward Lami and replied," His probably testing one of his crazy inventions, I think that explosion sounded near his lab".

Lami's interest was piqued as she heard the mention of a lab after all she came to this island to find a scientist and an inventor. She smiled and moved toward the mayor," Can I go and see what he is up to?"

The mayor hesitated for a moment before replying," Do be careful he's always tinkering with dangerous objects and experiments, you'll find his lab near those explosions," Lami nodded as she walked toward the direction of the explosions leaving Law and Bepo behind.

" Captain what are we going to do about the Germa?" asked Bepo with concern in his voice. " We'll have to strategize and come up with a plan to obtain the Iron ore without getting too much attention from Germa," Law responded thoughtfully. " Do we really need it that much?" Bepo asked.

" Yes we do, Bepo Iron ore is the most durable metal and can absorb damage and shock waves better than any metal, so we need it to create the submarine ship," stated Law with conviction. " Why don't we go steal it?" asked Bepo with a smile.

" I never said we won't steal it," Law said with a smirk," We just need a solid plan to steal it without getting caught or at least attracting too much attention," Law's mind started racing as he began formulating a plan to acquire such rare metal. However, as he raised his head he saw a young man who looked in his early twenties who was flying in the air toward him holding a bazooka.

" Get off our island you damned pirates!!" the young man shouted while firing his bazooka toward Law and Bepo who was standing next to Carabou. Law slice the projectile sent by the Bazooka in half surprising the one who fired it. The young man was stunned by such swordsmanship but he fired his bazooka again.

" What the hell are you doing Joe these young forks saved us from the attackers!" shouted the mayor at the young man who was attacking Law and Bepo.

Lami on the other hand made it to the lab but she was met with disappointment as the lab looked more like a junkyard full of scrap metals and broken machines. However, as she looked closer at the machines they looked like unfinished projects that had a lot of potential.

' Well everyone has to start somewhere,' she thought as she realized that the inventor who lived here had a lot of creativity and potential, he only needed the right materials to create the devices he envisioned.

' This guy has talent I have to say, I hope he will agree to join us and become our inventor for the organization,' Lami thought and she kept looking around trying to find the inventor.

She searched the whole entire area only to come up with nothing in the end. With a heavy heart, Lami decided to leave and head back to the villagers to find a clue about the inventors where about. As she walked out she couldn't help but feel frustrated.

Back at the village a young man named Joe apologized to Law and Bepo and thanked them for saving the village. " If I may ask, who are you guys and what brings you to this island?" Joe inquired.

" My true is Trafalgar D. Water Law but you can call ma Law and this is Bepo my crewmate, we came here looking for the rare metal only found on this island," Joe widen his eyes and so did the mayor who was standing nearby.

Law was confused as to why they were so surprised so he asked," Did I say something wrong?" The mayor looked back and asked," D" However Joe interrupted him and asked," Did you say Trafalgar D? That would mean you have the secret name that must be kept hidden,"

" I do have the secret name however, I'm not afraid of revealing it," stated Law proudly. " Well then allowing me to formally introduce myself, my name is Simon D. John and this is my son Simon D. Joe we are also from that fated family however, we have kept our true name from the world," the mayor explained.

Law was surprised to hear that the mayor and his son are from the infamous D. family as well. " Interesting it seems you are the one Lami mentioned earlier," Law remarked.

Joe and the mayor looked at each other in surprise before the mayor spoke," Lami is that little girl you were with right? how does she know of our existence?" Law then went on to explain how they have been gathering information on specific individuals who possess rare skills and talents that could be useful for his establishing organization.

" To think you guys are interested in my skills, it's a shame Germa took all my research when they looted the Iron ore," Joe sighed in disappointment. Law could sense Joe's frustration and said," I'm currently planning a heist to steal the Iron ore from Germa as I need it to create my submarine you could come with us maybe we could find a way to retrieve your research as well," Law proposed.

Joe's eyes widened with excitement as he exclaimed," That would be amazing, if you help me get back my research I'll help and build you anything you need for your submarine," Law smiled and extended his hand and said," It's a deal then".

Lami returned to the village and noticing that Law was shaking hands with an unknown she asked," What did I miss?". Law turned toward Lami and said," Here's your inventor and we have a heist to plan," Lami's eyes widened in excitement as she responded," I'm in!!"

Law spent the next few days trying to come up with a solid plan to steal from the Germa 66 kingdom.

Law and Lami will sail on their own ships and have their own ships after this small arc.
