Chapter 2: The Interview For Normal Human

"Mr. Hansel D' Artagnan. Take a seat there. This will be a relatively quick one."

"We have looked into your personal information, resume and CV. Age 24. Freshly graduate. Orphan from birth. Average score through out school to university, average athletic skills, average normal life for a normal human. No accident, no drugs, no smoking, no alcohol. Clean history."

"No aptitude for mana, chakra and ki. You really define what a normal human is like IF your aptitude test is normal."

"From the aptitude test for morality, your score was way below moral line. That is why we were a little bit interested in you."

"Can you answer this one question for us? It is irrelevant to the interview but our curiosity have overtaken."

"Yes, I can."

"Then, in your own opinion, let's say there is a kid. Age 7. The kid was suspected to be RRT*. After 3 months of close surveillance, profiling and observation, the kid was confirmed with 60% accuracy that he is a regressor. What are the options?"

"Killing the kid must be one of the option of course. Apprehension, 24/7 surveillance and registration into the system as confirmed regressor."

(Murmur murmur murmur)

"Killing is your first option?"

"If necessary. It is a priority at least. Regressor is the most unpredictable among the other two for me."

"Hmmm. Interesting. Give us 2 minutes to discuss your placement."

I got up and walked out of the room.

In the interview room.

"We have a sociopath."

"He is not a sociopath. He is just crazy. His moral compass is broken."

"Looking at his record. There are no tragedies or anything to break him. His life is rather peaceful."

"Maybe the lack of parental love cause his broken moral?"

"No. The caretaker at his orphanage is a caring and loving person."

"At least he is not some blood thirsty maniac killing people here and there. But his mentality scare me."

"He has common sense but his moral compass was broken. Weird. Out of all our interviewee, he is the one that really align with our mission and vision."

"I want him"

A rough voice was heard from the very back of the room. All the head of the interviewers tilted back. A tall, muscular woman with a large scar across her face was standing at the back of the room. Her crimson hair like a lion mane making her even more fierce.

"I want him in my department."
