Chapter 1: The Normal Human

March 29. Sunday afternoon. I was sweating bullets. The sun was up my head beaming it intense light. I was tilting my head upwards looking at the tall corporate building. 'CENTRAL FOR MEASURES AGAINST ABNORMALITY' aka CeFMAA was the name of the company I will be having my last session of interview.

Two weeks ago I applied for a job interview at this company and today will be the last stage of interview.

I entered the building while fixing my tie. My palm was sweaty. I was nervous. I knew that I will be getting this job no matter how the interview goes. The examiner during the first stage said that if you pass the first one you will surely get the job. The interviews and exams after that were a matter of sorting people into which department.

I took the elevator to the 31st floor where the higher ups and the CEO will be waiting for me.

DING!

I got out of the elevator. A row of applicants were sitting down doing their own things while waiting to be called to enter the room. I took the chair at the end of the of the row and brought out my smartphone.

After connecting my earpod to the phone, I resume watching the interview video of a famous and uprising Hunter.

"Thank you for the valuable and meaningful insight about the world of Hunter, Mr. Fariq."

"Hahaha, that was just a surface level of knowledge. It was nothing to be thanked about."

"Yes yes yes surely. Alright now we will move to the next question. It is said here in your general information you gave us that you are a transmigrator from another world. Is that true? Or you are just admiring those people?"
