Idle Fish Goes Ashore
I can't with this. It was good, I tried to distract myself from the clitche But I couldn't It was too much, the story had great potential but it was ruined by the characters The MC is overly kind and they use excuses to make him seem different from other typical MCs but he really isn't. The MC is also really dense and acts like a typical hero MC that does good deeds and tries to justify himself to look different. The author is adding too many people into the harem when we know that they don't have a chance at all. Everything else was good, the system, the skills, the ideas, and the world But the characters were barely different, I can only count one that was unique and that is chikka. This made me drop it two times Hope it could change (out of cortesy, probably impossible )
I personally love the story. I especially love how there are so many chapters at the moment. Anyway, about my opinion, I think the main character is a very good guy and dislikes bad things and such. The characters actions and the details to how they look are very life-like and add to my imagination. I like long stories because they take longer to read so they don't end just by the clap of my hands. The amount of imagination put into this novel could not simply be copied by the likes of me, whose imagination was over 9,000! It's incredibly interesting and I always can't wait to read it as soon as I come home. Also, the cover and references to certain anime depending on the situation is quite interesting. The way he changes and is reincarnated is very mysterious and it's also mysterious because, at least I don't think so, it didn't mention how Lin died. The mysteriousness and imagination and work put into this fascinates me and is absolutely perfect! Although, I do in fact wonder who the game system is, as I am at not finished with the novel, and I also wonder what Lin's full name is, it pulls me into this fantasy reality and I can imagine it if I just tried to with the details all piled up together to create a movie-like story. I really enjoy it, keep writting beautiful novels, Author!
I started this novel with ZERO expectations (caps are necessary to reinforce how low they were, Mb) and oh boy it's good. Going by order: Translation. I love it, it oozes with quality as very rarely I spotted any kind of grammar or edition mistake, references were properly translated and it feels just right. Updating stability. I just finished catching up but in light of how good the translation is they have my vote of trust. Story development. It's very well paced and it's obvious the author is a huge fan of Japanese subculture which he integrated in this work impeccably. It basically is a refreshing twist of the Japanese romcom with the ever popular reincarnation trope, don't let it turn you down if you are tired from it however since it very rarely makes use of it, the MC is more focused in living and enjoying his new youth rather than being OP (...which he kinda is slowly turning into, but not really focused on it) Character design. MC is an otaku; he feels like an otaku; he lives how he wants... pretty much resumes his personality. The author takes classical archetypes in Japanese stories and make them his, you can pretty much identify them right away but they still feel like people and not just props standing there just to make the MC (and by extension the readers) feel good. World background. This is its weakest point, not bay any means bad however, the story follows a fairly ****** plot (slice of life) with some fantastical elements here and there, which inherently makes the world-building of those fantastical and exciting matters hard to introduce without forcing the reader to sit through chapters full of expository information; not to say it's not there but don't expect to understand the inner workings of the world right away and have a clear picture of what role the MC plays in it. Overall I fell in love with this novel and can't wait to read more about it, if I really have to point any flaws... it would be the tittle, it sounds really bad and it was what maintained me away from this excellent work x) (...and goddamnit I want MC to go for his apartment's landlord, praying strongly for it to happen ;-; dem booty...)
This is seriously such an amazing read it's such a new concept and like the characters are actually really well done and mc is actually intelligent he's not some idiot who's either always clueless or like perpetually like outsmarting people he's just a normal realist you know and that's so fresh and the mc is so well written and I can see my self seriously enjoying this
before I continue to read.....what he is going to do with his family and what will be his relationship with them? Chinese are so stuck up with their nationalism and their family drama...seriously. If your family kicks you out unreasonably than you might as well stay away from them and keep up no contact for the rest if your life.....?
There isn’t an original thought in this entire story. Typical MC with no real personality other than generic nice guy who pretends to be mean because he’s edgy. Female characters have zero depth and exist only for the harem fantasy without being memorable in any way. Boring world with nothing unique to it. Every plot point is just a trope with nothing new added. It would be laughable if everything wasn’t so boring and predictable.
Its alright. Kinda like an author took all the most otaku things he could think of and threw them into a blender. The MC is a perfect guy, whose wearing a much less perfect guy as a flesh suit. He gets a system that allows him to put in a moderate amount of effort and get massive gains, also plot armor is bundled in. The world is bland, but its urban fantasy so u expext that. The characters are bland, but theres plenty of them. The writing is alright, if long winded. You getting the picture? One thing I can say is that every victory has felt right... I mean as much as watching Weeb Thundercock beat down the mentally handicapped can feel. In summery, its slow, not much happens, and it plays itself very safe. That sound like your bag, read it; but, I got to chapter 200 and thats as far as I intend to go.
