My Daughter is too Cute
Surprisingly a very good novel. Been quite a long time since I've last read a good novel in this setting with male lead. From this genre, I enjoyed The Great Tang Idyll, The Human Emperor, Dafeng's Night Squad, Long Live The Emperor, Protect Our Patriarch and a couple more I can't recall titles of right now. So if you liked the novel, feel free to check out the others I mentioned there.
Well first the reason I’m dropping is because this is a harem novel. At this point I’m not surprised authors like to ruin their stories. Cliche and boring, barely any background, uses all those “seeking death” type words that give me a headache. Story is probably nothing like the description since this is supposedly a harem novel. All in all harem novels have no idea the struggle involved and authors just decide to throw away logic and add nothing that makes sense to bring in all the edgy teens and degenerate’s who only read for the lemon scenes.
Pretty interesting so far (20 chapters). The premise is original and the realisation is well done. Translation is quite good. A bit early to say any more but this is far more promising than 99% of the tripe Qidian is producing these days. I don't think we'll get a Lord of the Mysteries level novel but this should be somewhat nice to read at least.
Unfortunately it is more of a generic oriental work.... even the addition of system, strong family in which the mc is reincarnated, and a forced marriage to the mc, failed to mask the basic pattern of oriental works of years and years. This type of work has already saturated enough, even the humor they try to do is saturated and demotivating to read. As always, the manufacture of novels of this type may even change the packaging, but the content will always be that, until they learn to make something for themselves without copying models.
Pretty good story! Characters and support are not completely fleshed out but are sufficiently complex and have good dynamics with the MC. And although MC is the cunning, shrewd, shameless type, is not unlikeable or annoyingly lecherous. The story is developing quite well in just few 30 chapters, and the system is mostly a support thing that doesn't get in the story except for a few lines each couple of chapters. This is one of those good novels that rarely appear on the WN selection for a while.
A fun read with really good build up. The beginning gives you the premise and really explains why the main character is so abrasive. It would be 5 stars all the way... if not for the ending. While we are given an ending, it really feels like the author went "let's try bringing back a character that was ignored", possibly to reinvigorate their love of the story or to try and tie up the loosest of ends. The last chapters reduced every effort made by any character in the story to a joke and was really unsatisfying. It felt like a show that was told they were canceled with only one episode left to film and they tried to get everything settled in that last 22 minutes.
The main character is a b*stard but it is done well. This is one of the first times where I actually enjoyed an arrogant and rude main character. Although in the beginning he hides his true strength, he doesn’t get pushed around but instead relies on his father’s strength. There is a harem but it doesn’t feel as forced as some and it often adds some comedy. Good book!
if you like harem and rage system try this novel, it's not bad. Shameless MC, faceslapping, portrayed genius mc, full of schemes, enemies become friend, similar to keyboard immortal but KI is better. But i stop reading it, because of: -The writing. -I don't really like the MC. -Lack of interaction between MC and harem members. -Lack of romance. -S*x innuendo with only 1 sentence or 3 sentences.
