" Dodge!!" I shouted to Aristos as he pushed Caenis away from the attack.

" Absorbtion!!" Aristos shouted as he held the staff in front of him.

He used word magic and runes to absorb the attack.

* Boom!! *

" You can't absorb Divinity!!" I shouted to Aristos before he was struck by lighting.

" AAAARRRGGGG!" Aristos yelled as he tried to stand his ground.

Yellow lighting surrounded Aristos as he gripped the staff tightly as he tried to keep his mind sane from the pain.

" Use Life force barrier. It'll help decrease the effects. " I spoke.

Aristos did as I said.

A golden barrier surrounded him.

" Aristos!!" Caenis yelled.

We both looked at her direction, which she was grabbed by the throat by Poseidon.

" Caenis!!" Aristos shouted.

" He's gonna teleport. Grab her!!" I shouted as I felt the storm and space shift.

Just as Aristos ran towards Poseidon, he tried to hit him with his Trident.

Aristos dodged it and threw himself onto Poseidon. This caused the three of them to fall off the temple as Aristos Tam him through the wall.

* Crash!! *

" Get off mortal!!" Poseidon yelled as he slammed him Trident against Aristos only for Caenis to take the attack. She flew into the mountain.

* Boom!*

" Caenis!!" Aristos shouted.

" She'll be fine. You gotta focus on Poseidon!!" I yelled.

Aristos focused on Poseidon as he slammed his staff down only to be met by his trident.

The two stared at each other for a while before Aristos used word magic.

" Thunder strike." He spoke as a golden thunder came from the sky.

Aristos pointed his finger towards Poseidon.

Just as the golden lighting passed him, he spoke again.

" Water dragon."

* RRRRRAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH* The water dragon yelled as it was formed.

The water dragon became one with the golden lighting.

A water dragon with golden lighting wrapped around it was heading towards Poseidon.

" Hmph!! Do you know what God I am!!!??" He shouted as he swung his Trident toward the attack.

Poseidon tried to command the water and lighting but to no avail.

Realizing he couldn't control it, he decided to defend himself.

Aristos filled his staff with mana as he used runes in the air to increase the staff damage and speed.

Aristos threw his staff downward.

* Boom! *

Just as Poseidon managed to block the attack, it still managed to damage him by the arms and chest.

Just before Poseidon could arrogantly speak once more, he was hit in the head by the staff.

" AAARRRRGHHH!!" Poseidon shouted as he fell down.

The staff returned to Aristos's hand as he turned his body mid-air to dodged a yellow lighting.

" Now, use the rune of God's bane." I spoke.

Aristos nodded.

He released as huge magic rune that lit the surrounding mountains.

" God's bane." Aristos used word magic to increase the runes effects.

Aristos ran his staff through the runes as it laid itself onto the staff.

" Remember, you have a few minutes before the rune disappears. After that, you can't use it again. This is your only chance." I spoke as I noticed we were close to the ground.

Arsiros nodded as he used word magic to strengthen his body and staff once more as he lifted his staff.

" Body enhancement."

" Increase weight."

" Increase durability!!"

He shouted the last word magic before hitting the mountain that Poseidon fell onto.

" AAAAARRRRRGGHHHHH, DAAAAAMMNNNNN MMMOORRTTTAALLL!!" He shouted in agony as the staff hit him.

I began to notice the injuries were healing.

" We need to break through his Divin..."

* Boom!! * Before I could finish, Aristos was thrown to a nearby mountain.

I found myself next to Aristos.

" Cough!" Blood seeped out of the mask as cracks appeared on it.

" Come on! get up!! Use Life Force to increase your regeneration!!" I yelled.

Aristos wounds began to release steam as it healed in a second.

" Now use the rune of protection!!"

Aristos wrote a rune in the sky.

A barrier covered him as he was on one knee holding himself with his staff looking up towards Poseidon.

" Look at the smug bastard. He's probably thinking he's hot shit." I spoke as I crossed my arms, looking at the storm raging above us.

" Hey, I don't think we could get through his Divinity." I looked down to Aristos, who had just spoken.

" No shit. We only damaged his body, but not his soul." I said.

" His body is immortal. We could easily kill his body. But his soul, it's protected by his Divinity. " I continued.

" Sigh, and I'm guessing you know a way?" He said as he looked at me.

" I do, but it'll cause you to disappear as even if I brought it out, you can't wield it as only I could, the main personality." I spoke.

" I see." He replied as he looked down.

" We should just retreat. It's amazing that we pushed a god this far without using eight gates or Sayuri." I said.

Aristos just nodded.

" THINK YOU COULD HIDE UNDER THAT BARRIER!!!?? I HAVE SOMEONE YOU CARE ABOUT, YUTO!!!"

" shit! he had Caenis, how could I forget about her!!?" I yelled.

Aristos looked at Canis as she struggled against Poseidons hands that were gripping her throat.

" SINCE YOU TOOK MY SON!!! I'LL TAKE YOUR LOVER!!!" His shout shook the mountains.

" He's gone mad." I spoke.

" Hey, what up with you, we gotta make a plan to save her." I spoke to Aristos.

" No. You're going to make a plan." Aristos said.

" Wha??" Before I could finish, Aristos stabbed his staff into his own heart with great power.

The next thing I knew was I found myself in a familiar space, except it was shining with golden light.

" Hey, hey, not this again!!" I yelled as I looked around my surroundings only to see Aristos standing with God.

Seeing him, I remembered how he drove the staff into his heart. I instantly knew what he was going to do.

" Hey! why did you give up!!" I shouted as I stomped my way towards Aristos.

But I was stopped by God as he held his hand out.

" Stop, Yuto, he has made his choice." God spoke.

I didn't turn to him as I looked at Aristos.

" Tou wanted to become a hero, right!!?? Why stop now!!???" I shouted

I knew what this bastard was doing. I treated him like a brother. Yet he's giving up.

" I'm sorry, Yuto. I really am. But I guess this is where my journey ends." Aristos spoke with a smile.

I looked at him with shock as my fears turned true.

" You fucking bastard!! After everything I taught you, the memories I've given!! I.." Before I could finished Aristos interrupted me.

" And I am grateful for that! For everything you did, I've gotten my wish." He spoke.

' Caenis.' That was the thought as I heard his wish.

" What of Caenis!!?? what about her!!?? Are you just gonna leave her alone!!??" I tried to move forward but couldn't.

* Thud *

Aristos tapped my shoulder with his fist.

" I enjoyed every single adventure we've been on. the bad ones where we almost died, the ones where we saved many people. And the ones... the ones that made my heart filled with warmth." He smiled as he sowed his teeth and a closed smile.

He spoke once more as he tried to stop the tars falling from his eyes.

" I know you'll take care of her for me. Please continue your journey without me." He said that last part with tears as he faded away.

" No No No!! We almost made it!! We should have!!" I yelled.

I looked on to see his ashes flying away as I tried to reach out, only for them to slip through my fingers.

* Thud! *

I fell onto the ground, tears rippled on the floor as God reached a hand on my shoulder.

I wanted to shrug it off. But I felt too weak to do so.

" It feels like a part of me left." My voice cracked at the end, but God still heard me.

" He wanted this for you, son. It's time to carry his journey with you, his memories." God spoke as he poked my heart.

God's words rang in my head.

' His memories... Right, I could only carry on his journey by bringing his memories with me.' I thought as I lifted my shaking finger and tapped the system screen.

" May you find your guiding light, Yuto." Those were the words I heard from God as I woke up from in my body.

My body felt numb, but my mind was sharp as I looked through the holes in the mask into Poseidons eyes.

I felt nothing but wanting to strangle the bastard.

With a calm, deadly voice, I spoke.
