Ch. 135 Poseidon

For the next two years, the three of us traveled together.

We went on to find temples of the gods but no luck, only found ruins of ancient cities, lost tombs, and fighting monsters and beast, as well as being a hero like Aristos said he would be.

Mostly saving princess from an enemy kingdom to defeating a wyvern that terrorized a small kingdom.

And most important of all, being a fucking third wheel with Aristos and Caenis.

And whats worst is they didn't even tell each other their feelings as they were too embarrassed or shy. Even with all the talks I've given Aristos.

" Sigh!! It's been TWO FUCKING YEARS!! " I shouted.

" Okay, okay, but still..." He trailed off at the end.

" Sigh."

* Bam! * The door was slammed open.

" Oi! I found the next temple!!" Caenis shouted.

" Pretty sure it'll end in another disaster." I spoke.

Aristos ignored me and smiled at Caenis.

" I'm glad you were able to find one. Which temple is it?" He asked.

" Posiedon!" She excitedly said.

Me and Aristos looked at each other.

" I guess we'll have our payback sooner than I thought." I spoke.

Aristos nodded.

I just wanted to kill poseidon the moment I heard his name.

Walking away from the building, Caenis came from we traveled eastward to the temple of Poseidon.

' I'm going to destroy that temple.' I thought as floated behind Aristos and Caenis.

" Don't you think I'm strong enough to fight a god?" Aristos whispered.

" Sure you are. I'm sure that you are if you activate the 8 gates and you have Sayuri to help as well." I explained to Aristos as he nodded.

' Though we'll probably have to use that.' I thought as I tried to make a plan against Poseidon and his weakness.

' If I remember correctly, it should be something that has to deal with something warlike. Maybe a weapon from Ares the God of war?' I thought to myself.

For the next few days, they looked for the temple

They managed to find the temple on a mountain facing the ocean.

They left the town, and they found the information about the temple.

" You think posiedon would just grant her wishes without taking advantage of her?" I spoke to Aristos as he and Caenis climbed the mountain.

" Shut it." Aristos had a serious face.

" Just keep an eye on her is all I'm saying."I left it at that as Aristos didn't say anything.

' I guess they both grew on me during these two years.' I thought as I sat on a steep rock.

" Sigh, this is taking too long. Can't you just fly you and Caenis up there?" I asked Aristoa as he just stopped climbing and slowly turned his head towards me.

" I forgot."

" Stupid motherfuc....."

" Oi! can't you just fly us there!!?" Caenis shouted.

Me and Aristos looked at her and back to each other.

" See! She remembered." I spoke.

" Quite." He said as he tried to mask his embarrassment.

" Levitate." Aristos used word magic with the wind element.

" Woah! great a warning ya bastard!!" Caenis shouted.

They managed to go up to the top where they saw a huge temple.

" So this is where that son of a bitch is at, I saw we blow it up." I spoke as I turned my body to Aristos.

Not seeing a reaction from his body and especially his eyes since it's covered with a mask.

" Caenis, what should we do next?" Aristos spoke to Caenis.

" We should enter and see if Poseidon is willing to listen to my wish." Caenis spoke as she walked ahead.

" Whatever happens, don't let your eye off of her, and keep your guard up." Aristos nodded as he followed after Caenis.

Aristos gripped his staff that he managed to upgrade with my lessons of crafting and adding runes.

The staff was black covered in golden runes.

Following begind them, I saw Caenis walk up to an Altair. She kneeled down on both knees as she prayed.

I didn't bother hearing as I kept an eye out.

And Aristos was still standing watching Caenis.

" Stop." Aristos spoke.

I turned to him as I saw him walk up to Caenis.

" Don't do this." He spoke as he looked down at Caenis.

Caenis confused stood up.

" Why? This is my chance to become a man, to finally achieve my dreams!!" She yelled.

" I can't, I'm sorry I can't let you do this." He spoke.

" Why!! Tell me why I can't do this!!?" She yelled.

" Aristos, it's her choi..."

"Stay out of this." He calmly interrupted me as he gave me a side eye.

I frowned but kept quiet as I wondered what he'll do.

Seeing me not saying anything, he looked at Caenis.

Caenis confused why he said keep quite looked up to him.

" Caenis, I....I...I'm in love with you." He confessed.

" Huh!??" Caenis looked up to him as her eyes widen.

But a second later, she was conflicted. She looked at Altair and at Aristos.

' This is it Aristos, would she choose to become a man and become a tyrant or let her choose to become your lover as she continues to travel by your side.' I thought as I looked on the scene.

Aristos was gripping his spear, I could tell he was nervous.

Caenis seemed to make her decision. She looked up to Aristos and held his hand.

" I love you as well, Aristos." She smiled.

" Then we leave this place and continue our adventures." He spoke as she grasped her hand as well.

But just as they were about to leave, a sudden storm hit the area, and a voice by the entrance spoke echoing through the temple.

" Who said you could leave!!??" An old man with long white hair and beard spoke as he slammed his trident on the ground, making a crack.

' Aaannnd, he ruined the moment.' I thought as I looked at Aristos and Caenis.

They both held their weapons.

Aristos stood in front of Caenis.

" Yuto Yamamoto." He stated as he looked at Aristos.

" Yuto?" Caenis asked as she looked at Aristos.

" I don't know any Yuto." He replied.

I looked at him and at Poseidon as he seemed more angry.

" Liar, you've killed my son, Triton!!" He yelled as he slammed his trident on the ground again. And as he did that, the storm blew more harsh.

" Looks like we'll be fighting!!" I yelled as I tried to talk to Aristos through the heavy winds.

Aristos nodded as he gripped his staff.

" Get ready, Caenis." Aristos spoke to Caenis, who nodded as she was wielding her spear and shield.
