Cruiser Objectives Part 3: Chakwas & fixing a mental problem early

The Ship-

Leo was currently on his new ship, inspecting it as the crew removed the various bugs of surveillance still. A few more were discovered when pulling out of port, as expected.

Checking the various flight abilities and trying to record the possible docking maneuvers of a ship that size. It was good that the A.I. had Cerebrus arrange a tow to the Citadel, preventing the vessel itself from actually operating at that time.

The Captain was so caught between the ship and how much it resembled an Ark but on a smaller scale, she put the matter of getting back for the jump through the Citadel terrain on the way back to the ship from later.

She was currently speaking with various members of the crew. Only a few Ardat Yakshi bumped heads with her. Upset that Leo had a human as a Captain instead of one of them was the hardest thing to swallow.

A firm reminder that the Asari Matriarch or any of the others wouldn't give him a Dreadnought shut most of that up.

No surprise, Dr.Chakwas was there going through the Medical Area with him, checking on his Mental State, and trying to understand the whole situation on the Citadel with the Alliance Marines.

"I can see you already know what I am going to say. Why keep mentioning for Jack, I mean Jennifer, to go to the Grissom Academy? She went there and came back, but you are sending her there again." The good doctor found it strange to do so. But her opinion on the criminal known as Subject Zero always came with caution. "Even the way you said it...."

"Good for her emotional development and.. I have discovered possible brain damage from my methods. If not for Agent Zero's files on his deterioration, I might have missed it going forward." Drawbacks to developing his own "Cultivation Method" from the various areas his brother visited and traded. "I have found the way to fix it in the long term as well as improve the problem greatly to a solution. This was not supposed to happen until the long journey to the Andromeda Galaxy."

That Trekk was going to take a long time. So lots of exploration to be done.

"What about the others?" Dr.Chakwas watched as he moved to a Pressure Chamber. The technology itself she has never seen before, for the most part, but she could attribute most of the medical devices on the side to that of life support. "This looks close to...."

"It can contain up to a nuclear blast before it reaches the greatest point. Once mind you.. but it will do just fine since I am not at that level by a long shot. My physical body is above each and every race so far.. I can grapple against a Yahg with ease and outlast over a 100 Krogan stamina-wise. Lung capacity and running mind you."

"What is the cause to acquire such strength?"

"Haaa, Dr.Chakwas..." Leo shook his head as he undressed, getting inside activating the sequence to key in. "..what we have done so far... we need to be above the rest physically. What awaits in the Andromeda Galaxy is the technology that borders on the absurd. The thing about what I am doing now to myself, not everyone can go through it."

Plus, the correction from the LX implants with the technology taken from the SAM node in Alec Ryder would go a long way for future studies. With several made to go into the discarded Miranda and Oriana bodies recovered.

The process of revitalizing the brain tissue lies in Leo's scientific methods before coming to this Dimension. Combined with Cultivation, the studies of clones and the living subject they come from can be expanded on.

The Neurotrophic fruit seeds that were provided by Jacob Taylor. The culminating piece for long-term mental advancement on a genetic level.

As a doctor of various times, Dr.Chakwas would bear witness to this. Suprised, Mordin and a few others were not allowed to see this.

The terminal announced the steps. Three rods dived into the key sections of his brain. The brain can be divided into three primary locations. Dr.Chakwas stepped back, taking a seat, not looking away for a moment. The situation was recorded, but that was not the same as witnessing.

The forebrain, the midbrain, and the hindbrain. The hindbrain includes the upper part of the spinal cord, the brain stem, and a wrinkled ball of tissue called the cerebellum that she watched get extracted from the body itself.

"!!" Dr. Chakwas's eyes narrowed as she watched the body go slightly slack as the heart and spinal cord were removed next. The skin started to light up into energy and break down, swirling in the chamber. Organs and bones were turning next.

-Increasing pressure by 50% to compensate!-

The pressure chamber narrowed with cables connecting at the base. An unusual Chemical Reaction occurred the very moment the three original rods retracted out. The energy started to compress and expand repeatedly.

Floating within the mix from the cables, were large amounts of the most cleanest nutrients for a body. The spreading of an entire neuro network became visible to the naked eye. Increase synapses and receptors were growing twice the amount of human development in natural birth or creation.

With the zoom-in images from the cameras available, Dr.Chakwas paid attention to the Axon Terminals in critical locations. Some were thicker and stretched a type of growth that went directly to the location of the spinal cord area.

-Quantum Entanglement Nodes formed at 97%!-

At this time 1/3 of the energy was now gone. With the last 2/3 used to speed up the advancement of cellular growth. Needles in the thousands appeared from mechanical hands on the sides. They were sparking little lights in the outline of a human body.

"His body's build?" Dr.Chakwas stood up, approaching as she looked closely at a small monitor. She was looking at the biological data showing up. With the Q-Nodes added on, the body wouldn't be able to form correctly without guidance. "Even down to his previous changes for the armor compensation."

The woman didn't relax until the development of the brain changed, and the 3rd showing of brain activity. The tablet in her hand lit up, notifying the various problems that would show up for the crew if going through the process.

The Salarians, due to their evolutionary track would be the only ones to survive the procedure. The Asari.. let alone the Ardat Yakshi show a high chance of going catatonic. It was troubling news for the other races.

As the needles continued to guide his neuroreceptors and spirit energy to push growth, the days passed by quickly. So quickly that Dr.Chakwas missed a few calls and messages asking for her.

*Beep!* The comm for the door went off. It was secured because of this procedure. On the outside was Sloane, Jeodore, Oriana, Sarah, Jacob, and Maya. Having docked the transport ship and done with the decontamination, they had Maya lead them to Leo.

"Lot of people want to speak with you, Leo. Open up." Maya said, her voice was controlled. 'What is going on?'

"Open the damn door, you bastard!" Sarah shouted. The most upset about the Alliance situation was only worse hearing it over the net and not from him directly. "You need to explain yourself, dammit!"

Dr.Chakwas placed the tablet down trying to reconcile some of the findings.

'You can open the door, doctor.' Leo thought to the woman. Snapping to, she keyed in the acceptance code to let them in. 'It is fine if you go and rest again, I am fine.'

"You are not fine until you step out of the pressure chamber." Dr.Chakwas shook her head ruefully. Having pushed her mental cultivation and body to the limit already, the good doctor needed to sleep for a day or two. "If you get out right now, then I will go and rest."

Leo just blinked at her. He wanted to develop the last 2% that needed to be done first.

"Leo you could have been gentler with those marines." Sarah moved to sit in a chair. Her understanding of medicine so far piqued her interest in whatever was taking place currently. "You could have just done this or that but it is better this way."

"The marines.." Sloane and Taylor moved along the sides, trying to figure out what was going on. "..some may not even walk again. Not to mention the ones who died."

'The family will be fine. Maybe in a month or so, they won't even remember what happened.' Leo grinned. "People are adapting creatures."

A little Mental technique to make sure no trauma develops. His people didn't need to know that anyway.

"The money we.. took from Henry Lawson." Oriana looked a little hardened but needed more experience in life to really be useful still. "We took the money after he moved against you and the recovery of my sisters."

"The money.. what did you do with it?" Jeodore cut right to it. "It was a hell lot of money. I took my cut already, of course."

'Used to pay the Alliance that took damage from my recent actions and several other groups to look into the different issues around the Secret Departments every government have in use. Can't waste the money Henry Lawson so openly gave to us.' He turned to Dr.Chakwas as he just remembered something. 'The charities in your name, how are they to your tastes?'

"I wish you didn't put my name on them, but I am happy for them." Dr.Chakwas stated. "I won't let something like what happened before happen again. No matter what it takes. I will make sure you do not go off the deep end."

*Chssh!* The pressure chamber hissed as a wave of pure spiritual energy brushed against all of them. Jacob and Sloane dazed immediately from the euphoric effect with Jeodore, the third close going slack and falling to her knees.

"Good." Leo said simply. This shocked the good doctor. "I am not immune to the frustration. I am human after all. Hmmm?" Jeodore didn't get up as she stared straight ahead at his dick that was in front of her. 'Couldn't possibly be I gain something else from the process can it?'

A.I.- Besides the ability to handle Quantum Entanglement, a possible chance of different biological abilities developing. The additions to your genetic structure may cause a serious problem during the next tribulation. However, dealing with the Rachni will go smoother.

'In my brother's notes, he said very specifically not to lose my humanity. I had that issue before arriving here as my methods.. were not morally humane. Apparently, as a blasted cultivator, it has a little more weight on the soul.' Leo thought about the matter for only a few seconds before putting it off for deeper thought. "Jeodore.. if you keep staring at it.. it's gonna hit you."

"What!?" The mercenary jumped up, moving away embarrassed. The few chuckles in the room did not go over well with her. "Screw you, Leo! I.. am going to my room! Yah ass!" She turned around, leaving promptly.

Oriana took some notes and decided it was best to go away for now. Aware that whatever he just did would help her siblings, she wanted to dive into every trace of it.

"So, what will you do now?" Sloane gave him a few looks over. Something about his body was new; she just couldn't determine what it was now. "I am sure you have more reasons to mess with the Alliance, so let me and Sarah deal with those."

"Go for it." Assigning a few missions to them, he put the A.I. project the Alliance had underworks at the top of the list. "I am sure you can understand a need to get to the files for this all together?"

Sloane's eyes narrowed as she gave him a nod. They were taking the rest away but leaving Leo with Maya and Dr.Chakwas for now. The two women were running every test they possibly could at the moment.

"Any other problem?" Maya waved a wand over his head back and forth. "The brain activity... it can't keep up with it. You should have a headache or searing migraine, maybe?"

"Nothing," He assured her he was better than ever. "I will continue on my way and find ways to keep myself in check while releasing the tension when I have to. But so far, I feel amazing." Leo stood up, looking around the room. "Lots of research I can work on better now."

He was going to get dressed but Dr.Chakwas stopped him. She was not going to let him go to work until a full thorough check-up was finished. Considering she would have a lot of lab results to work on after while the rest were planetside, it would make sense.

"What's this?" Leo gave a list of Alliance activities to Dr.Chakwas that was currently going on that would be bad. "UNC: Rogue VI? A rogue VI has taken over an Alliance training ground located on Earth's moon. The brass has not made a move yet about this."

"The medical staff on the ship will be slow at times with what is going on; this is a way for you to help the Alliance more hands-on. Any time I come across some "chatter," I will pass it over to you for your input. I put this on top for Sloane and company earlier."

*Chsh!* The door opened as several Ardat Yakshi were there. They looked miffed for one simple reason. Leo was unresponsive in the last couple of days. It was actual worry that made them anxious in the worse way.

"Haha.. I really thought this went through to everyone." Leo looked at the message that was incomplete. The ones that did go out were scrambled. 'Why didn't you advise them what was going on?'

He thought the A.I. would do so but that was not the case. He himself was in a state of.. well-suspended animation and thought. His full focus was just him in control of his soul to keep from dispersing.

"I will finish with him in a few minutes." Dr.Chakwas grabbed a needle preparing to take some blood. "After that, he is all yours."

The moment she finished, the Ardat Yakshi bombarded him with biotic energy. Leo found out after the mental battle and exchange, they could feel and hear a scream of his soul at certain points while meditating.

At least no one on the ship died. The next stop would need everyone at their ready.
