A Step Forward

Frankly, if the subject of such a try was something that spanned nothingness and shrouded myriad words like the net of information he touched in the last world, Lorien wouldn't have dared to give this a try.

After all, he still remembers clearly what happened in the previous world and how his over-reliance on the golden orb almost cost him his life.

However, if it is something that's only limited to a certain world whose power system barely reaches the [Law-Level], then it's completely safe.

After all, even if such a world self detonates, the force generated won't even cause the barrier surrounding him to flicker, not to mention penetrate it and reach him.

Additionally, it's not like he has a choice as Lorien has to try this so he can advance his plans in this world, and what better time than now when he still has the above-mentioned protection still functioning?

'I could try to absorb it as I am absorbing reality using my root power.'

Evaluating the three methods he now has, Lorien was more inclined to choose the first one, however, if he chooses to follow this method, then he'd simply be forcing his way through brute force with no real improvement to his power system.

So, even though this method was the most probable one to succeed, Lorien was still hesitant.

'I want to improve the dream path and make it a real Law-Level power system, meaning, anyone who follows this path will be able to reach the Law Stage with enough talent, preservance, and luck.'

'However, there is no way in hell that the current power system is enough to absorb this power, so, before that, it needs some improvement...'

Thinking of this, Lorien couldn't help but turn his attention to the stored Dream Energy that he carried with him from the previous world.

Originally, when leaving the Jujutsu Kaisen World, Lorien grabbed a large amount of unabsorbed Dream Energy that he could absorb and improve his strength while he developed more Dream Energy in the next world.

After all, as he was traveling from one world to another, Lorien didn't know what state the next world would be so he had to take precautions.

Moreover, there was also the time required to plant and collect the Scattered Dream Energy that was being constantly generated by people all over the world.

So, generally, it didn't matter what kind of world Lorien travels to, there would always be a time lag when Lorien can't acquire any Dream Energy from his surroundings, at least not enough for his consumption.

So, with all of this in mind, Lorien would of course grab his 'food' with him as he travels around, and based on his current strength and absorption capabilities, this amount of 'food' is enough for him to 'eat' for nearly a year without pause.

In clearer terms, it is enough for him to raise his Divine Perception range to about 20 Kilometers from the current 14 km.

'Damn it, do I really have to use this energy to forcefully analyze this Law Power and improve the power system?'

'God knows how much energy it'll cost me.'

'If too much of it is burned, I probably won't be able to restore it as this world lacks hope and the dream energy here is at an all-time low.'

'However...'

Thinking about the gains he could get from improving the power system, Lorien couldn't help but grit his teeth as he knew that some things had much higher priorities than others.

'Perfecting the power system is a long-term approach that will provide me with much better results, moreover, my current power is enough in this world, so there is actually no need to be in a rush for any improvement.'

'It's better to just take things slowly and just improve the power system.'

Making his decision, Lorien didn't hesitate any longer as he immediately made a link with the Dream Energy reserves and began burning them without care to reach his objective.

[Dream/Reality: Dream Path - Improve]

The moment Lorien did this, another Rule-like power of much higher proportions swiftly appeared surrounding the small orb he was holding.

Controlling his now-boosted power, Lorien instantly penetrated the barrier surrounding the law-like power and immediately began forcefully analyzing it.

Be it its composition, structure, or nature, nothing was left untouched as Lorien gathered as much information as possible on it.

Then, as soon as enough information was acquired, Lorien turned his attention to the [Dream Path] and immediately began developing it to his liking.

To be honest, in such a situation, Lorien could have just let his power work on its own as he relaxed and waited for the results, however, the outcome of such a method would most likely not be to his liking which is something that he absolutely rejects.

After all, as the owner of the Dream Path, Lorien wants each step to be customized and each detail to be to his liking.

Such a method would of course cost Lorien much more energy than simply letting it evolve on its own, however, Lorien is prepared to even lose all of the stored energy and not get any result instead of getting one that's not to his liking.

After all, this power system is something that'll be with him until the end of the path, so it's not something that should be rushed.

It's just fortunately for him, it seems that thanks to the previous powerful foundation of this path and the already established path, Lorien was able to achieve his objective just after burning about 3/4ths of the stored energy leaving only about 2-3 Months' worth of it.

'Ughhh, that's a lot...'

'However, Thank god everything went according to plan, otherwise, there is nothing I could do other than forcefully absorb it using my power.'

'All that's left now is to try the results...'
