She had then decided to work to weaken shield any way she can. Anyway she can create something that could oppose or weaken shield, she would do. First, she needs to go after project insight. Some way to slow down its pace. Oh god, she would need to support the Overwatch Initiative. She had been opposing it from its inception. This would prove to be a torturous endeavor. She did not believe in giving this much power to act to any group not affiliated to the government. Now, she may not have a choice.

(Loki's retreat)

In the previous few months, Loki had been using the gold he had been getting to build his own retreat on an island. A stronghold if you will. He had been building it for a few months. Using the gold that he had gotten from various jobs to buy one piece of after another. Right now, he had a fully activated retreat. A small mansion on the hillside. Most of his money had been spent on warding off the island from would be trespassers. He had used a mixture of seals and Asgardian runes to strengthen those shields. Increasing their effects.

This island was now shielded from mortal eyes. It could not be seen unless you were aware of the presence of the island. This effect had extended to when it was viewed by human eyes through electronics as well. The runes which were an important component were usually powered by Uru metal however Loki did not have access to that metal to the moment. He instead had to use an alloy he had to craft from Vibranium. A metal with alot of unique energy conducting properties. After buying the Vibranium, he was left completely destitute.

He had layered the Vibranium alloy as a sort of conductor to power the seals. While the runes were used to draw power from a combination of latent and mystical energies. He had atleast achieved full self sustainability. The house had a full electrical system as well as hot running water. A full entertainment system.

He had also been developing some other functions that would serve as defense but well he had run out of funds to continue those projects. Afterall, he could not use the money he had gotten from the lawsuit as it would be too easy to track. So, he had shelved those plans of his for the moment.

A black hole had opened up and it spat out both the twins first. Both of them landed on their butts. Loki stepped out afterwards, little Ace still holding his hands as he led her out. Pietro was still under the effects of the seal. Loki had dispelled it and he had shaken himself up. Feeling up his entire body to make sure that he was alright. Loki had turned to them and spoken.

"So, house rules." Loki had said. And so he began to explain each of their responsibilities to them.

(After some time)

"So, did you get it."

Both of them had nodded in panic.

"No matter." Loki had said as he had begun to drink some tea. He had used kamui to make his mash intangible so he could drink through it. There were a few sweets on the table in front of him. Ace was devouring them. Wanda and Pietro had been a little skittish at first. But seeing Ace eating them, they had also proceeded to take a few samples.

"So now, we wait for an old pervert." Loki had commented while taking a few sips of tea.

"Old pervert." Pietro had looked at him in confusion.

"Yes, she is going to be training you both on how to control your powers." Loki had taken a few more calming sips.

A portal suddenly opened up and the Ancient one exited from the portal. Wanda and Pietro had were staring at the bald lady.

"It rude to stare." She said as she sat down. A cup of tea had appeared in her hands as well. She began to drink from it with a smile.

"So, I have found your student. A person capable of using chaos magic. I never believed that I would see the day." Loki had said. Even on Asgard there were only distant rumors and the like. Nothing had ever been confirmed.

The ancient one had smiled at that. "Yes, its still amazing to see one. They were believed to be myth and legends."

There was a pause as the ancient one had taken another sip.

"And yet she is not my student but the student of my successor." She turned to stare at Loki once more. "You changed time once more. Fate changer."

Loki had gotten mad at that. "Your successor. How old are you again?"

"I have lost count." She had admitted with a smile. "Besides, you should not ask a women her age."

"So, how many millennias would I have to wait before your successor shows up."

"Lower then you think." She had replied.

"That does not narrow it down." Loki had yelled at her.

"Well, if you don't mind. I will be taking both of them with me." She had said as a portal had opened up behind her. A few whips had come out which had bound both of them as she had dragged them out.

"So, I was not able to get some free manual labor. Atleast, I don't have to deal with a reality altering mage." Loki was thinking out loud to himself as he was looking at Ace. "I can't raise a child alone. So who do I con."

He began to mentally go over his list of acquaintances. Most of the people were out as he could not trust them with his own identity. There was the other matter of them not being strong enough as well to take care of ace. And to protect her if something goes wrong."

He then suddenly remembered someone. Nope, to be honest. There was only one guy that came to his mind. He would have as much to lose if his location was disclosed. He felt that it was time that he went to meet one of his friends. The green man was going to get a visit soon. He smiled as he thought to himself.

But first, he had to put the little one to sleep. Loki had a long day today and he felt that it was appropriate to atleast rest for the day. He had picked ace up. First, there was the bath. He really did need someone to take care of ace. He had no idea how to do any of this stuff.

The ancient one had stepped out into Kamar Taj. Seeing one of her students Wong infront of her.

"Mr Wong, please get these two situated. These will be two new disciples of Kamar Taj."

"Wait, I never agreed to any.... "

She had proceeded to ignore everything else Wanda had said.

Wong had bowed before her as she had left to go to her chambers. She could already sense someone waiting for her over there. There was also the matter of the fact that she had foreseen such a thing before she had went to visit Loki. Loki had somehow turned the future into a flux. Everchanging and constantly in motion. The amount of time she could stare into the future with certainty was decreasing. Where once she could see centuries into the future, now she could see barely a few week into the future with any certainty. The rest of time constantly changing with the amount of possibilities.

So, she had entered her own chambers

"Doctor Fate." She had greeted.

"Yao" He had greeted back.

"So, how is the changer of fate doing." He had asked her.

"A little annoyed but other wise fine." There was a pause. "He is a threat to the plane of order." He had said.

"And yet, he may be a boon as well. I never stopped you from acting did I?" She had asked him.

She had heard a sigh from Doctor Fate before he spoke once more. "Just consider this an old man talking to himself. You as well as I know that the forces that would wish to conquer earth will never rest."

"That they never do." The ancient one had replied. "I just wish to retire. My time had long since past."

"And yet the boy may change both your and my fate." Dr Fate said in jest.

"That he may" Yao replied.
