Chapter 4
"W-What?!"
Melony did not expect that at all. She was starting to get flustered. And all Dylan did was smile at her. Which did not make anything better. Suddenly Melony and Dylan heard someone shout:
"Princess Melony! Princess Melony! It's time for dinner!"
Dylan turned to Melony and then stood up extending his hand.
"You heard them Princess! It's time for dinner!"
Melony couldn't focus. All she could think about was what he'd said to her. What did he mean with "It's beautiful like you" !? Was he trying to flirt with her or something?! Even during dinner that was all Melony could think about. Dylan wasn't allowed to eat dinner with them because her father thought he'd put something in their food after what they did to him so he needed to stay in the dungeon and eat his dinner there.
During her dinner Melony could barely focus. All she could think about was Dylan.
Then suddenly she heard someone call her name.
"Melony? Melony!"
Melony looked up to notice her father calling her name from across the table.
"Y-yes father?"
Melony said.
"Goodness Melony, what has gotten into you? I've never seen you so out of it! Does this have something to do with that boy?"
To be honest, yes. It did have something to do with Dylan. But Melony could never say that! If she'd say that it did have something to do with him, Dylan would probably get in alot of trouble, and Melony wouldn't want him to get hurt.
"No father, I am just thinking about this new book I've read."
"I see, well it's good to know that that man hasn't done anything bad to our precious daughter."
Father said. Melony laughed.
"Of course father, anyways I have finished eating so I'm going to go and check up on him!"
"Oh okay then!"
Father said.
Melony ran off to the dungeon where Dylan was. When she arrived at the dungeon she saw that the plate the maid had given him was on the ground and only a little food was eaten from the plate.
Melony got worried. She looked up at Dylan to see him just sit in the corner with closed eyes.
"Uhm, you have barely eaten anything from the plate."
Dylan opened his eyes to see Melony, then closed his eyes again.
"I'm not that hungry."
Melony got annoyed, he needed to eat something! How else would he get his energy and vitamins?!
Melony took his plate of food and went to put it in front of him. She sat down to wait.
"I am not leaving this place until you've eaten everything on this plate."
Dylan opened his eyes and smiled.
"Oh wow, I didn't know you cared about me that much."
Melony started getting red in the face. Why did he have to be so handsome?!
"N-No! I-I just want you to eat something!"
Dylan smiled even more.
"Are you sure you just don't want to spend more time with me?"
Melony started to get flustered.
"No! Ew! Never!"
Dylan laughed.
"Heh, okey, okey, I'll eat the food if that makes you happy!"
Melony blushed while looking down at the floor. Dylan slowly ate his food. While he was eating, Melony couldn't stop looking at him.
Dylan looked up at Melony with confusion.
"Listen I get that I'm handsome but it's creepy when you keep staring at me!"
When Melony realised what just happened, she got embarrassed.
"S-sorry! I didnt realise I was staring at you!"
Dylan laughed at Melony's reaction. All Melony could do was to stay quiet.
While Dylan was laughing, all Melony could think about was why she was feeling that way about Dylan. She just didn't understand! Yes, Dylan was very handsome, and kind, and a bit flirty, but was that the reason that Melony was feeling this way about him?
"I-Im sorry but I need to go now! I have duties to complete! If you're done with that plate then I'll ask a maid to come and get it!"
Melony said, then stood up. Dylan quickly stopped laughing.
"Really, now? Can't you stay a little longer? So we can talk more, you're so fun to talk to!"
Dylan said with a smile on his face. Melony didn't know how to react, all she could do was to blush.
"I-I'm sorry I can't! I really need to go! Maybe we can talk tomorrow or something!"
As Melony was on her way out she heard Dylan:
"Then I'll see you tomorrow Princess!"
