Early chapters probably MTL but if you read MTL much then you can just ignore it, you can understand 95% of the chapters but some words is nonsense/can't understand (Only in the early chapter) I didn't have problem reading late chapters. I keep reading it and liking this novel. Other people didn't like the early chapters due to MTL and putting a bad review here but fret not later on it will be good. This is a harem novel but slow progress. I hate Taylor in the first place but I understand her why she was like that (She is playing safe that is why). Still hoping she is part of the harem (most likely she will). Thank you for this novel. I'm having a hard time looking a good novel then I found this (for me this is a hidden gem 10/10). I was hesitant to continue reading due to MTL/bad translate in the early chapters but I keep reading and I keep liking it.
the picture sums up my review, i read until ch 70+ until my brain fried and i can't read anymore .. the premise of the story is quite good, but the execution of it is not. Not to forget the writing and grammar are just plain disaster, even worse than MTL. I don't understand why this novel can even get to premium.
The writing sucks, the chosen vocabulary sucks and sounds awfully like Machine translation of a chinese novel. A translators/editors job is to translte the text in its meaning and not word for word. You need ti convey the original meaning of the text so thst the target audience understands it. If you cant do that as a translator than you are not better than a machine translator
This needs a professional editor. The author will write a sentence where the 2nd half of the sentence totally contradicts the first. Many times I had to imitate Sherlock Holmes just to understand what the author was trying to get across. The reincarnation of the MC is filler, we get one sentence that alludes to it in the first ten chapters. There are a lot of abrupt scene changes and numerous times the author could have expounded on things that were interesting, but didn't. The premise and the character's thoughts/personality are especially appealing to me, pity that there is so much wrong with the novel.
Just started reading and I like the story but the language used is a little confusing. The names have been misspelled (Kaleb is Taleb sometimes) but it can be diffentiated, the problem lies in sentence structres that confuse me when I am reading (its not common but recurring). I hope this is not a problem as the story progresses. I will update on my reading experience in the later chapters.
Good stability of updates, and that's it. Writing quality? Don't read it, english is worse than most MTLs, it horriffic. Authors grammar is really bad, missing words, wrong order of words in sentences, messed up pronouns, etc. Story development? Cliche upon cliche. In 17 chapters we had: MC with no talent who is scorned by everyone, suddenly activates system and becomes #1 genius, no1 belives him so he casts magic, when allowed to pick a super rare treassure, he picks a dress for a girl, then we have saving damsel in distress while hiding his identity. Really, really bad. Character design? 2D at best, cliched MC, side characters are 100% cliche with no personality. MC is dumb, side characters are even worse. World background? There is literally no world background introduced. 17 chapters and we only know that there are mages, if one becomes a mage he is granted noble tittle and that his magic school is the best in the country. That's all the world background you will get. And that is if you somehow understand the broken english.
might be slightly generous in these star ratings. this novel has a slightly interesting concept, with the witch collecting and the mc actually has to have the witches love him, they aren't really tools. but the novel is tough to read. often times you don't know if something is a thought or someone talking, as the author or translator is lacking on what the proper use of quotation marks. the magic system is also poorly explained even at the lowest level. names of power levels switch up many times, same with actual character names. like a minor character named Kaleb was called Taleb more than once in the same chapter. the world building I can't say much on since I barely read this but it was mediocre at best from what I read, I can't imagine it gets much more interesting. stuff like the name of the kingdoms seem to have to importance. I wouldn't really recommend reading this, your time is better spent elsewhere, as I barely scratched the surface of the mediocrity that this novel is.
