Still feels like trash tbh. It's just a base for everyone to underestimate the MC so you get to set up cliche situations and drama. Its an overused cliche.
Let me start off by saying this: this is a surprisingly good book considering webnovel romance standard. It's 100% worth it to read it. There is just one thing that's super annoying, and that's why I've rated story development at 2/5. It's the goddamn side characters. I know it's supposed to be a slow, healing book, but damn me I'm at chapter 270 and 80% of the book is the history of side characters. It's annoying as hell and completely imbalanced. On top of that, the character that gets the most screen time is the FL best friend Hyson, who frankly is rather annoying. I feel like I'm forced to read about him, even though I really don't care about him or his history. I really enjoy the premise of FL having a best friend who is male and all, but he gets WAY too much screen time.
foreshadowing?
ikr? it's common to still go to work with a fever like that
Childish, naive and average. There is literally no background to anything. No information about the world or how it came to the state it is now. No information about any sort of past of our MC. The MC himself is naive and beta. Alien race (elves) attacks earth, kills millions of ppl, kills his comrades in arms in a prolonged war, and he decides to trust and help the aliens, because of a woman he met twice and barely even spoke to. The entire idea that a random lieutenant can agree to an invitation to peace talks from enemies, without reporting anything or orders from high command is a joke. There is no immersion, and all the characters, MC included, are 2D (not only do we have no background, the entire plot is rushed and fast paced, we have no idea about MCs feelings or inner thoughts). The plot itself, at least until what I've read (30 chapters) was cliche.
The tittle reveals too much about the chapter. Even the system said mysterious reward or something, but we got the answer right from the start
Dude legit decided for himself he wants to be a ginger, lol
Sounds good but it will be hard to find it by your description lol
Third movement? Not second? It wasn't even published yet
That's knowledge from games and novels. In reality, daggers require the same attributes as swords, they are essentially the same, just the range is shorter. Daggers were created as spare weapons, that were easy to carry, easy to pull out in case the main weapon got broken/lost and easy to conceal. That was the main reason they were used as assassination weapons.
Writing quality is superb. Reads fluently, without any gramatical errors, no issues there at all. 5/5 Stability of updates 5/5 Story development: Here comes my biggest issue with this book: pacing. It's just SO slow. At first it was nice, we had more time for development, not only of characters but of world aswell. But with time it got WAY too slow. For example: its been over 800 chapters, his partner (the succubus) is being of the sith order, her enemies, who he promised to help with, are all at least around 7th order, while he, after 800 chapters, is still FIRST order trying to tackle his quest to become second order being since chapter 340. The pacing is ABYSMAL. 2/5 Character design: one of the things i like the most about the book, the development is very great, the MC, FL and supporting characters are all fleshed out, they each have their own personalities and none are 2D. All of the characters see major or minor development, it's good. There is also plenty of decent emotional development, some supporting female leads fall in love with the MC, but he sticks with the succubus only, there is no harem and i hope it stays like that. My only issue is with the overused archetypes of characters. There have been plenty of books with cold beauties, MC adopting/taking care of ranom woman only because she had 10 years old daughter, etc. 4/5 World background: There is nothing innovative about world background in this book. It's the typical apocalypse, fall of civilization, new dimensions/worlds etc. It's what we always get. Is it bad? No. Even though it's overused, it's still very well written and quite readable. Is it a bit disappointing? Yeah, I would love to see something new. Still 3/5 Above average decent read, without innovations, but also without any major errors. Good fast food novel. Total 3.8/5. Keep it up!
It is said that some miniscule number of players (limited to special mythical grade helmet and having legacies) can teleport their game avatar into real world for a short and limited period of time. It happened only once and by mistake, lasted less than 5 minutes. Haven't seen that again, it will probably happen somewhere later in the story, but it's hard to say when. It's way too repetitive for me to keep reading to that point. It's a pitty, because the background of the MC, world background and his class are all unique, it's just the rest of the book that's lacking.
Dumb af
Makes sense lol
