Story just contradicts itself every other paragraph, one chapter his control has increased . next chapter his control has fallen one chapter his Qi is pure . next chapter it's muddy . one chapter he wants to do X . next chapter doing X is just out of the question . one chapter he gets an inheritance . next chapter it's too bothersome to actually read it .
Its very DARK be warned, if some things don't make sense they will be explained. There are twists and turns and is a lot of fun. BUT like 200 chapters in the author realised that the mc's power becomes super op over time so he decides to reduce the mc's IQ. Before it was about "I am going to die if I don't cultivate super fast" but now its about "I can live 1000s of years and be safe BUT f that am going to call myself god under the heavens in from of people that can 1 hit kill". he becomes as dumb as a rock also these were said 5 chapter apart "i don't have time to waste" (he is talking about 5 sec here)"i have all the time in the world"
I had recently reviewed and praised the novel, about how good it is. But when I read chapter no 540 enlightened I was shocked and disappointed. Everything that made Mc who he is, whole story was completely and forcedly changed. It become same other countless trash. I was really hopefull that I found a good novel but alas.
The concept is great but the execution is horrible. Not only are there countless plot holes but the mc meets countless "coincidences" where everything goes well for him even though he ALWAYS has enemies without any rest. Not to mention the perfect passive skills he seemed to get in dangerous situations, its just purley annoying. If that was all then it would have been moderately okay BUT nooo the mc does not only have the trashiest trash talent BUT also has low iQ (intelligence), is impatient, greedy, rash and just generally an idiot. SO I warn you only to read this when you are truly bored cause this novel is the EPITOME of TRASH. Final evaluation: Garbage
The story itself is unique; the setting and the goals of the characters are clearly laid out. Also, the realism itself is clearly not half bad. Furthermore, the novel has a strange way of delivering schemes and lies that are hidden. Some of the foreshadowings were great; maybe given more polishing, the story might become a classic.
Before reading this story, be aware that the passive skill system has no rules! No upgraded skill except for Gluttony Lv2 that he mentions a zillion time when everything else stays at Lv1 forever. Ultimately, the author stops giving levels and rarity to skill (white:common, green:uncommon, ...) wihout bothering to fix the previous chapters. In the end, the author doesn't edit anything related to the functions of the system throughout the entire because he's obviously too lazy to do it. He should have just said that the main character get passive skill at random.
