I am Invincible; Literally [One Punch Man in Marvel]

One Punch. That's all it takes for me to beat them. It doesn't matter how 'Strong' and 'Angry' they are.... It doesn't matter how cool their supposed 'Weapons' or 'Shields' are supposed to be.... It doesn't matter even if they are considered 'Gods' in other people's eyes.... In the end it always comes down to a single punch. I always wanted to be strong.... Strong enough to defeat my opponent in just One Punch. Finally, I am fully capable of doing so.... But I feel bored. I wanted to be strong didn't I? Then why does my heart feel so empty? ~ ~ ~ This is going to be my second time writing a story, with my first one being a story which I started writing not even a month ago....soooooo you can say that I am pretty much a novice in writing. I know there will be grammatical errors and plot holes but I still tried my best. I just hope you guys like this. And the cover is not mine.... [Discord- https://discord.gg/rJXMJmuY]

Finally!

"We are here, Jason. Wake up."

Jason slowly opened his eyes and searched for the meat he was about to put into his mouth. His hair was not tied into a ponytail like earlier, and he was not bathing in a bathtub made of gold.

'Oh, I guess I'm awake.'

"I'm glad you're awake. C'mon now, we have work to do."

Jason looked at 'Couline' to see him standing outside the van. He was talking to Jason through the open window. Jason let out a loud yawn, before reluctantly stepping out the van.

"Are we at the headquarters?"

Jason asked, now standing beside Coulson. Coulson didn't answer for a while, and simply stared at his watch. After a few seconds, he looked at Jason with his usual smile and shook his head.

"No, we're not."

"I'm going to sleep." Jason started moving back to the van, ignoring the expression on Coulson's face.

The van was surprisingly comfortable, if you ignore the fact that it was a stolen good. Maybe if the owner didn't want it back, Jason could just take that bed in the back for himself.

"Wait. We still have work to do. Didn't you want to know why I stole this van?"

Coulson stopped Jason on his tracks by his words. He remembered Jason asking him why he stole this van, and to be honest, Coulson couldn't understand how Jason didn't notice it himself.

Wasn't Jason an Agent? Shouldn't it be obvious for any agent to notice the equipment lying in the back of the van? Jason was even sleeping there. He should have noticed it. But despite all the clues lying around him, Jason simply dozed off on the bed without using his brain.

Coulson wondered if he really was an agent. Why did Fury think Jason was more eligible for this mission than Hawkeye? He really doesn't understand.

"Yeah. So, why did you do it?"

Jason asked, now fully awake. He didn't know the reasoning behind Coulson's actions, but he still had a little amount of trust in Fury. Over the time they had spent together, Jason had genuinely started considering that man his friend. That's why, he was willing to give Coulson, who worked for Fury, the benefit of the doubt.

"Did you see the equipment lying around at the back where you were sleeping?" Coulson asked, his gaze not on Jason but at somewhere else. Jason made an 'oh' sound, remembering seeing something like that.

"Are you talking about those weird thingys that were poking my back as I slept?"

"...You slept over them?!" Coulson asked, feeling aghast. Those equipments were necessary for their research, and this guy slept over them?!

"Yeah. They were pretty uncomfortable though, so I put them off the bed."

Coulson sighed in relief. That could have been disastrous. Fury would have chewed him out if he made such a rooky mistake. And by chew him out, Coulson meant throwing cusses at him that could have made any weaker man's ears bleed.

"So?" Coulson was back to his senses as Jason stared at him, "Why did you do it? Stealing the van, I mean." Jason ended the sentence with a shrug of his shoulders.

"Those equipments that you saw, they were essential for our mission. I needed them, but taking them with me without any means of transportation would not have been plausible. So I took the van, or more like borrowed it." Coulson explained, now staring at Jason. Jason looked at Coulson with suspicious eyes, not believing anything he was saying.

"Are you going to return it then? How?"

Coulson sighed. Jason didn't believe him, he wondered why that was the case. Jason was acting like it was the first time he went on a mission. Maybe it truly was the case? He would think about this later. For now, he needs to clear Jason's doubt.

"Just look at where we are standing Jason."

Jason looked at his surroundings, and noticed that there were many people in uniform running inside a house and coming out with boxes in their hands. He also saw them putting those boxes inside huge black cars with weird logos printed on them.

This looked like a scene straight out of a spy movie. Jason was feeling excited now.

"..In front of a house?"

"Correct. This house belongs to Erik Selvig."

"Never heard of him." Jason answered, not missing a beat. Coulson held in another sigh, and tried to be patient with him. Jason was making it really hard though.

"Let me finish. This house belongs to Erik Selvig, who is also the owner of this van we borrowed." Coulson explained, before his eyes caught the sight of three people running in their direction.

"Oh, so we're going to be returning it?"

"No. I'm going to return it." Coulson looked at Jason with a smile, "You, on the other hand, are going to sit inside that black Car over there. I will join you later. After that, we're going to the headquarters-not, but the SHIELD facility." Coulson corrected Jason, which he promptly ignored.

Coulson had planned to take all the equipment they needed for research from Jane Foster, and for that, he needed to have a conversation with them. Jason doesn't have a role to play in this, so it would be better for him to sit this one out. Coulson knew Jason's speciality lies in combat, he didn't know whether they would need it or not, but if they do, only then will he let Jason partake in the mission.

Coulson had made Jason out as a person who is slow at reading the mood, so to complete the mission, it's best if he does it alone.

Coulson hoped for Jason to accept it, which he doubted would be easy.

"Ok."

That plain response took Coulson by surprise, but only for a moment. Coulson looked at Jason's back as he left towards the car he pointed to earlier, before his attention was grabbed by the voice of a furious Researcher.

"What is the meaning of this?!"

'Time to work.'

Coulson thought as he moved towards the Trio of researchers with a smile on his face.

[ Half An Hour Later ]

After Coulson was done with his conversation with the trio, he moved towards the car where his partner was sitting at the moment. He was about to open the door, but before he could, his phone started ringing.

"Hello?"

("How's the mission progressing?")

Coulson recognised that voice in an instant. He remembered Fury mentioned calling her in his absence, but he didn't expected her to give him a call instead.

Still though, Maria Hill was easier to talk to than Fury, so Coulson didn't complain.

"Everything is going fine. You don't need to worry."

("Good. Anything happened with Mr. Andrews or... ?")

"Jason is doing fine. He didn't do anything that could hinder our progress."

Coulson was curious why she mentioned Jason specifically. He remembered Fury telling him that she is the only one beside him who knew about Jason, so maybe she knew something he didn't. Coulson still decided not to ask, as it was expected from him.

("Oh, that's good. Just keep an eye on him Coulson. We don't want any accidents.")

What does she mean by that? Jason causing accidents? Coulson couldn't believe it. The thing about Jason he understood the most was, he couldn't hurt a mosquito. He looked harmless.

Coulson knew that having such a thought is dangerous, considering the amount of harmless looking spies he has seen in his life. In the end, they ended up being the deadliest.

"What do you mean by that?"

("Director didn't tell you?")

"What didn't he tell me?"

It was silent from the other side for a while, before Coulson heard a sigh escaping Maria's lips. She must have said something she shouldn't. Coulson felt sorry for her.

("...Just, be careful.")

"I will."

Coulson decided to drop the subject at that. If he questioned her further, she would end up being in trouble. He simply waited for her to cut the call after that, but instead, she started speaking again.

("Listen, are you near your car by any chance?")

"That black SUV?"

("Yes.")

"I'm standing beside it. What about it?"

("Check the trunk. There should be something there.")

"Right now?"

("Right now.")

Coulson obeyed and moved towards the trunk of the car. He opened it and noticed a suitcase.

"It's a suitcase."

("Yes, give it to Mr. Andrews. Tell him director Fury sent it for him. It's something he forgot to bring alongside him.")

"Alright, I will do that."

("Alright then. Good luck with your mission Phil.")

"You too Maria."

—And with that, the call ended.

Coulson grabbed the suitcase from the trunk and noticed it was very light, as if there was nothing inside it. He thought it would be heavier if it's Jason's weapons or something in there, but he may have guessed wrong. He decided to ignore it and opened the gate of the car. He looked inside to see Jason messing around with the cash stereo, a bored look on his face.

"We're done here Jason, let's go to the 'headquarters' now."

"Finally!"

Jason grinned enthusiastically at the prospect of leaving this place. He was getting really bored. He wanted to do something, anything which could be considered interesting. He came to 'San Francisco' because of some alien technology, so he wanted to see it for himself. Now that they are done here, he would be able to see it.

"I like your enthusiasm." Coulson smiled, before handing Jason the suitcase in his hand, "Here. Director Fury sent it for you."

"Fury? Sending something for me...?" Jason questioned, a suspicious look on his face. When did that guy become so generous? Is there a bomb inside that suitcase?

In the end, Jason reluctantly took the suitcase before throwing it at the passenger's seat. Coulson took his seat as the driver once again, and Jason looked at Coulson curiously.

"How much time would it take for us to get there?"

"Thirty minutes if there's no traffic, fifty minutes if there's one."

Jason stared at Coulson with unblinking eyes. Coulson felt a little uncomfortable by that, so he turned his gaze at Jason with a raised eyebrow.

"...what?"

"I'm going to sleep." Jason reclined on his seat and closed his eyes. Coulson smiled and shook his head as he started the car.

"As I said, I like your enthusiasm."
