hello there, it's the author here. This is kind of late to explain, but if you're new to HK, welcome to a long journey, for starters I wanted to say, before you judge or rate the story, try to read at least 20 chapters and then, go on, drop the book if you want. The thing is, as of now, I have written 65+ chapters and my writing + the story just keep getting better. (published only 40+) Hope everyone enjoys Hollywood King, do ask any question you've got! :))

would have been nice if mc is depicted as more human like not giving him every skill ever existed like singing , dancing , directing ,writing , cooking and many more no human can be that perfect . I liked my hollywood system because mc was not like some god like being he struggle , and showed development there is even chapters where system didn't help mc . he had to create a movie from scratch . your story's mc is like some immortal god playing in human realm . make it grounded close to reality but also far from it . then maybe It would be interesting to read . I litrally dropped this novel midway for sometime due to how predictable it was .
Now even as the author mentioned this is a story inspired from MHS, but I can clearly say the story characters and mostly the flow keep you pretty hooked. Dare I say it's even better than the original most importantly its completely different setting even with many similarities especially the system and the main character. And I must say I really like this main character. Also I loved the way you gave the tribute to the original. Update has been pretty constant and I hope it will remain so. Altogether it's a must read for any one, it can be enjoyed by every class of genre lovers. Good job author I hope you keep going👍👍
The story is quite good for the first 50-60 chapters. But there are several problems, that the author is ignoring. The story is stronly focused on the production of the films. But after some films the writing becomes repetitive. We will develop this film. Those are the actors. We film. Then one or two chapters about the release and thats it. There is little new in the chapters. Then there are the relationships, that are highly underdeveloped. There is no real love interest for the mc. At most there are some ons with some actresses, but there is nothing about real relationships. The only character, that has some kind of relationnship, that is at least partly explored is the relationship with his uncle. In the end the mc is a workaholic, that does nothing other than producing films.
A big problem I have with this novel is the drama and I feel most people that read far enough know what I’m talking about. If the drama was removed and the story had another storyline I believe it would flow better as the drama ruins the flow of the novel. An example being the drama about Will being a dad, for the conclusion to be pointless and if you took out this section of the novel nothing would have changed.

But did you see I skipped number 6? 10. You checked 11. And saw I doubled number 10 and skipped number 9 13. And did you see I skipped number 2 14. You got tricked 15. But did you see that I skipped number 12 16. You checked and wandered why am I wasting my time on this. (You got tricked)
As of this moment there has been 20 chapters released. And this review has been a long time coming i was impressed by this work from the very first chapter. Writing Quality: 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Its pretty decent, the grammar is good, there are hardly any typos or misspellings. Its easy to understand and imagine. Story Development: 4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is only because the story is still very new and alot is still left to cover, but in these 20 chapters released the MC has already written directed and produced his 1st movie and it was a BANGER. Character Design: 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ the characters are pretty well written not just the MC but the side characters as well even though they are few. We have only been introduced to 3 maybe 4 if include a girl. Still great work on this category. Updating Stability: 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely no complaints in this section. The author has been super consistent with his chapter updates. He does update 1 chapter everyday without fail. So for that hats off author-san. World Background: 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ alot is still left to be discovered as this is a parallel earth but with AU elements like major movie franchises being missing which is a huge benefit for the MC. should have given more stars if the space is available 😜 . Because This is that good.... !!! . we are still not too deep in story... like :- rewards to mc stage or oscars :- he's acting in his own movie superheroes or whatnot . There's so much potential left . Furthermore, author writing style is simple but intersting + not enrich high vocabulary.. Also: author likes to write more about movie making part by mc... tho he shortens it, which is good... . No grammatical mistakes/errors . I'd say go for it..... recommended +100 .
Looking promising and I’m always looking forward to seeing more showbiz story’s. Review was written on chapter 3 so will probably make a new when three more to review. The story has an handsome Male MC with an ability too ether remember any movie/show perfectly or have the scripts in his head. Personality wise he is a playboy but with responsibility. He inherited the body from the previous owner how was a wealthy playboy how was wasting the last of the family fortune. And also has an 85% stake in his fathers movie company that is almost bankrupt. Now it’s up to the MC (Ian) to turn it around. World is decently like ares but different we haven’t gotten to know what those differences are yet. Updates so far have been 3 chapter in one day so no clue about how often update will be. Small rant: One thing that always bugs me in this kind of story’s is that the movies that the MC makes always is more successfu than are own world. I think some times those some movies should be less successful. This is because every good in Hollywood doesn’t succeed. And that there are differences in what people want. But I’m looking forward to seeing we’re this will lead. Love from Goose
Well came here because of the author Extra26's recommendation/mention. I'll comment on the book before giving my personal opinion of the work in general. 1-Writing Quality: The writing quality is pretty good, it has little to no grammar mistakes so far. So far I can't think of a major downside about the writing and that actually says something. [4 Stars Here] 2-Story Development: the plot is good it looks like the author planned how it will progress. The downside is that some parts where skipped or felt rushed. An example was when MC(Ian) tried to convince his uncle about letting him do something.(Not giving much details due to spoilers) [4 Stars Here] 3-Character Design: Well this is one of the points that are not so great for me, sometimes the characters seem forced(their interactions) and sometimes the characters don't seem to have the same dept to them. The best example is the MC who at first is cold since he's focused on assimilating his new life but after that his personality takes many turns.(again not explaining in dept due to spoilers) [3 Stars Here] 4-Update Stability: I can't complain about this since I started to read it when it had 8 chapters and it seemed daily. [5 Stars Here] 5-World Background: The world is detailed but not detailed enough. I mean like scenes, we get he's staring in to a mirror, there's a blue something something bed and all that but it's one of the few scenes that is well described. Others like the guild he shows up to register isn't that detailed. [4 Stars Here] Overall: 4.0 Opinion: When I read "inspired by My Hollywood System" I thought maybe it's just because it's a Hollywood book and with a system, maybe take some ideas like company management and stuff like that, but the start is basically the same with a different backstory. 1-MC ends up in new world with same name as him(Ok, at least the bodies are different right?); 2-The MC is an orphan(same in both books); 3-MC gets system(at least the systems are different but this one is less challenging which was a nice touch); 4-The uncle is a friend of the dead dad(This one is better off... kinda) Basically the start is very similar, thankfully the backgrounds are different so it gives a different feel most times. There's a lack of consistently on the MC's character/personality. The other characters seem more superficial or not given enough background or something like that. This honestly feels like a fanfiction of My Hollywood System, no offense. For new readers: I recommend reading at least 5 chapters before making an opinion based on my kinda biased review😂. Honestly it's a nice read, it just has some things that I can see/picture for another story(which kinda makes sense since it was inspired by it).
Its good but so much potential is wasted here like everyone else that does this genre. Its always production focused with nothing else. There is no romance or slice of life No proper system that gives missions or challenges. No real effort because of how they get their content from „systems“ The worst part is that it’s boring to read about how they make step by step popular movies because you now them anyway. Its also very rediculus how these mcs produce 3 different things in a year like book movie and series and ppl dont question how 1 person can do all of that.
This is one of my favourite novels. I just have one question how will the mc deal with his enemies ??. Influential villains would send assassins after him or his loved ones. One main thing I loved about this novel is that mc hasn't settled down with his love interest early in the story . That threesom chapter was 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇
Novel whose development is somewhat beyond reason. Becoming the owner of a film studio and a reincarnated soul from an alternative world is a great opportunity where no film has ever been produced. well, even though it's a bit boring with the current storyline that seems to be repeated over and over again, because of the dedication of novel updates to date, I feel that this is a consistent novel. Thank You!!
