Lightsabers

As I slowly opened my eyes, I realized I had fallen asleep. The sky was getting dark and I could feel a wet spot on my shoulder I looked over to find that Airi was drooling on it.

"Gross" I complained pushing her off me causing her to immediately wake up.

"Wha-where?" She said as she shot up looking around.

"You're in my room, you fell asleep reading and started drooling on me" I stated matter-of-factly

"Wha-no I didn't!" I just responded by taking out a handkerchief wiping her mouth and holding it up to her face. Then I said with a shit-eating grin

"Oh yeah, then what's this?" Her face immediately turned an over-exaggerated shade of red and she stuttered,

"Ba-Baka!" and quickly used the Force to throw a pillow in my face. I immediately returned with my own Force-powered pillow throw and soon we were having a telekinetic pillow fight. We dodged, ducked, dipped, dived, and dodged some more this, unfortunately, caused my room to look like a tornado had just flown through.

After a while, the door swung open and both our mothers walked in with angry faces.

"What's with all the noise!?"

"What are you two doing up…" but before she could finish her sentence her eyes turned from anger to shock when she saw what we were doing.

We both had an arm stretched out trying to use the force to pull the pillow to us. We both turned to each of our mothers respectively, the pillow dropping due to our lack of concentration.

"No way did you two…"

"You both awakened your quirks!?" Ai blurted out.

"Hehe yep!" Airi exclaimed striking a pose that reminded me of a certain moon-themed magical girl.

"Yeah, looks like we did" I answered as I began to clean up the mess from our fight using the Force.

"Looks like you both have some sort of telekinesis"

"That's not anything like me or Akio's quirk what about you Ai"

"Yeah, it's not anything similar to mine nor that coward's quirk."

"What are the chances of both of them having a completely different quirk than their parents that end up having similar qualities to each other?"

"Maybe we should take them to a doctor so we can find out the extent of their quirks"

"No! I mean it's not a big deal we can figure it out ourselves." Said Airi trying not to sound too opposed to the idea.

"Yeah, we can figure it out on our own," I said backing her up. We both knew there was a chance we'd end up at the same doctor whom Izuku went to when he was a kid. The same doctor who was secretly working with All for One and we both knew we needed to stay off his radar, at least for now.

"Fine but you're both going to quirk counseling and I don't want to hear any arguments"

""Hahh fine….""

A few weeks passed and we had gone to quirk counseling we both decided to say that our quirks allowed us to tap into a mysterious energy field that allowed us to move objects with our minds keeping the fact that our actual powers weren't as simple as telekinesis since no one would know how omnipotent the force was anyway. If push came to shove, we could always just say we discovered something new about our quirks.

Quirk counseling basically consisted of teaching us how to understand our powers and how to use them responsibly. In addition to counseling, we also continued to read through our respective manuals. We decided to hold off on building our own lightsabers as both of us wanted to get a feel for close-quarter combat before we constructed them to avoid any injuries self-inflicted or otherwise.

We continuously sparred using training swords to try to find which lightsaber form would be best suited to our individual styles. Eventually, after around another couple of months I found myself using a two-sword style held in a reverse grip. I used reverse grip because all the cool Jedi used it just look at Ashoka Tano or Starkiller.

While I focused on using dual-wielding training swords Airi eventually began using a staff. Choosing to make a dual-bladed lightsaber in the future whenever we got around to making them.

Years passed and our connection to the force continued to grow stronger and with it our proficiency in dueling. Finally, halfway through our elementary education, we decided we were ready to build our lightsabers.

We each picked up our Kyber crystals instinctively knowing which belonged to us. As I held the crystals in my hands, I felt a bond being formed. Looking down at the crystals in my hand I watched as the two colorless crystals slowly took on a purple hue.

"Sweet," I said feeling a sense of accomplishment.

"Nice!" Hearing her outburst, I looked over at Airi and found that her crystals had turned pink.

"Very cool yours match your eyes"

"Yours too"

"Think it's a coincidence?"

"Who knows, now let's get down to business"

"To defeat the Huns?" Airi quipped.

"Ha ha seriously come on I can't wait any longer," I said walking to the center of my room.

Soon we found ourselves sitting back-to-back with the individual pieces of our lightsaber hilts floating in front of us.

"I can't believe we're finally building our own lightsabers"

"It was really a pain to get the correct materials to be able to build them"

"Hahh don't remind me, getting the emitters right was such a hassle" Airi sighed. We weren't exaggerating, it took years to get the right materials in order to build our lightsabers. As we concentrated the individual pieces that were floating in the air slowly began to come together to construct the hilts of our lightsabers after an undetermined about of time passed, we both opened our eyes.

"Ready?" I asked

"Ready" As we each pressed our respective switches our surroundings immediately took on a mix of pink and purple.

"Fuck yeah! Haha, we did it!"

"Hell, yeah we did," I said giving her a high five

"We'll have to do some modifications to adjust the length to make them shorter till we grow up."

"We should probably add a non-lethal mode so we don't accidentally dismember each other"

"Good idea, this is why we work so well together" With that said we immediately started to plan out the modifications and customizations that needed to be made not even noticing the passage of time.
