Trying to Avoid!

ALINA'S POV :

The elevator doors opened revealing the man whom I wanted to ignore with all myself. But still, there is a feeling in my stomach and my heartbeat starts racing whenever I see him.

I still couldn't point out what it is and why I am feeling this whenever I see him. It's never happened to me, not even once in my life. Then why now? And most importantly, why him?

I was lost staring into his glazing purple eyes until someone cleared his throat. I looked at him and saw Vlad, who is smirking while looking at us and also looking at Nate and Jessica and that's when I noticed Jessica is blushing under Nate's gaze. "You guys know that we are still here right?"

"Shut up, Vlad." Shane and Nate said in unison. Vlad and the others around him laughed.

I recognised most of them. Greyson, Tyler, Vlad and there is another man also whose name is still unknown to me but I recognised him because I saw him with Shane at the club when we first met. He looks just like Tyler but the only difference is, his hair colour looks natural blond. I guess they are twins.

"Are you going somewhere?" Jessica asked Shane still maintaining her hard look on Nate. Awe! Poor Nate.

"Yeah, just some usual work," Shane replied and then shifted his eyes towards me burning me under his gaze. I ignored his look by looking at others even though my mind tells me otherwise.

I saw that his facial expression changed from the corner of my eyes. He doesn't look pleased about me looking at others ignoring him but then he smirked again. What is he thinking now?

"What are your plans today…" Shane asked me but then he looked at Jessica as if he was asking her, "…Jessica?"

"Well, we have some designs of Bridesmaid dresses to show them to the girls," Jessica replied.

"That's nice. I guess that's why all the girls are waiting so eagerly and patiently for you." Nate said chuckling, "Have fun."

Jessica was almost lost in his smile for a second but composed herself again not showing that she was flattered by his smile. "Okay, bye guys," I said and almost walked past him but this freaking arrogant handsome tall bastard blocked my path.

"Why so fast, Ms Green?" he asked me with a smirk on his face and bend down a little to match my height. "I know that you are trying so hard to avoid me." He moved a bit closer to my face looking straight into my eyes, "But believe me when I say that you can't because I was in your place once." He again moved closer to my neck killing me with his hot breath hitting my neck and went close to my ear, "You can't even imagine how hard it is for me to avoid you." He said in his husky voice almost grazing my earlobe with his lips.

What is he doing? Control yourself, Alina. Everyone is looking at us with a grin on their faces. Taking deep breaths I pushed him with one hand giving a little distance for my sake.

"Don't know what you are talking about, Mr King. But just know one thing, If I put my mind to one thing then I can and will do it." I said and started walking but stopped beside him to say one final thing, "I don't have to try so hard to avoid you, Shane. I'm not you." I said in a low voice so that only he can hear my voice.

"We will see about that, Alina." He said still wearing that smirk on his goddamn handsome face.

"Well, try me." I left them walking with Jessica towards the girl's room.

After I was out of his sight, I finally took a deep breath to calm myself from these unknown feelings. Why is my stupid heart always pounding like it's gonna explode whenever he is around? And when he comes close to me, I can't even explain this feeling inside me. It's like my whole body wanted him to touch me and feel me. Everything is so freaking new to me which is why I couldn't tell exactly what it is.

Damn it, Alina. What's going on with you? What's happening to your life? I composed myself before going into the room masking my face with a smile so that no one can see the confused expression on my face.

SHANE'S POV :

"Boss, we found him," Seth said putting his phone back in his Jean pocket. "Tony just called me to inform you."

"Where is he?" I asked him furiously. We have been searching for that bastard for a few days now. He has been hiding from us ever since he left that day.

"He has been spotted at the shipyard and today he will go there again. My guess is, he is sending the container today." Seth replied.

"Let's go and give a surprise visit to that bastard." We all are waiting for this freaking moment to kill that good-for-nothing man.

We just came to the elevator and are waiting for it to finally open so that we can go and kill that idiot once and for all.

But when the doors opened, my anger seemed nowhere to be seen. There she is again, looking absolutely stunning as always and getting attention wherever she goes. She is like a walking angel, no, actually she is a mix of both angel and devil. A gorgeous glowing face like an angel and a sexy attitude like a devil.

God must have taken an eternity of time to sculpt her like this. He created one hell of a woman looking effortlessly hot without even trying. Words can't explain how beautiful she is.

My mind and heart felt at ease after seeing her forgetting about the anger inside me which was growing crazy just a few seconds ago. She always does that with just a single look and with her simple yet so beautiful dimple smile.

"You guys know that we are still here, right? I was so lost looking at her until that idiot disturbed me.

"Shut up, Vlad." Nate and I shouted at the same time. And that's when I realised that Nate is doing exactly the same. Everyone laughed except the four of us.

"Are you going somewhere? Jessica asked me, ignoring Nate. I guess they are still on it.

"Yeah, Just some usual work," I replied to her and then shifted my gaze to look at her again.

But she looked aside when she noticed me looking at her, is she trying to ignore me? I don't like it one bit. Trying so hard to avoid me, Alina? Let's see how long you are going to do that. I smirked at that thought.

"What are your plans today…" Even though I asked Alina, I shifted my gaze to Jessica just when she looked at me when she thought that I asked her "…Jessica?"

"Okay, bye guys," Alina said walking past me but I stopped her by standing in front of her and blocking her path.

"Why so fast, Ms Green?" I asked her, bending down a little to match her height. She is tall, pretty tall if you ask me. But still short in front of me. "I know that you are trying so hard to avoid me." I moved a bit closer to her face making sure that she looks straight into my eyes "But believe me when I say that you can't because I was in your place once." I said moving closer to her neck controlling myself so hard not to kiss her right there in front of everyone, instead I went a little closer to her ear, "You can't even imagine how hard it is for me to avoid you." I said almost kissing her earlobe but still composed myself not to do that now.

Damn, why is it so hard to resist her? Why can't I control myself around her as I did with everyone else? She is making me feel things that I never thought I would feel for someone or anyone for that matter.

She pushed me a little giving distance between us, I don't know why but I hate it when there is a gap between us. "Don't know what you are talking about, Mr King. But just know one thing, If I put my mind to one thing then I can do it." She said walking past me but stopping beside me, "I don't have to try so hard to avoid you, Shane. I am not you." She said.

"We will see about that, Ms Green," I said.

"Well, try me." She said and left us walking with Jessica towards the girl's room. I am still looking at her retrieving back with a smile on my face forgetting that I was still with my team.

Everyone started to clear their throats to get my attention. "If you do that again, might as well be ready to welcome my knife to slit your throats." I threatened them.

They immediately stiffened their positions and made their facial expressions into serious ones. Of course, I have an effect on them. Only I can scare the shit out of them.

"Well, what was that?" Nate asked me while chuckling and raised one of his eyebrows.

"What was what?" I asked him.

"Don't act clueless, Shane. Everyone saw what just happened between you two." Nate said grinning.

I rolled my eyes, "Nothing happened, just making sure that she won't do anything recklessly."

"Yeah and we were born just yesterday," Vlad said rolling his eyes.

"Whatever, there is no time to argue with you guys, we have important work to do. Let's go." I said, and they have no choice but to follow me.
