DCGB EP 13 - I Choose....

"Please allow me to joint the Golden Dawn!."

After Yuno announced the squad he would join, the captains of the unselected Magic Knight unit didn't feel particularly disappointed because yuno wasn't their top choice anyway. At this moment, they all waited anxiously for the next announcement.

"Next, number 101."

Immediately, the participant with number 101 stepped forward, and it was our asta. It was just like in the anime. No one else chose asta except for Yami, who seemed quite pleased, but the issue wasn't there.

After Yami forced asta into the Black Bulls unit, he turned to glance at the crowd before looking at Yuji and saying, "Hey, you over there. You're joining my squad too."

Yami's straightforward words stunned everyone, especially the captains of Magic Knights squads, as they didn't expect Yami to play this card. They quickly forbade Yami from coercing Yuji.

"Hey Yami, don't jump to conclusions. Wait until his turn first," the slim captains rushed to interject.

"Yeah, don't rush to conclusions like that. Let's wait until his turn," one of the vermillion hair ,spoke hurriedly, indicating that captains of Magic Knights squads had similar thoughts.

"What's up? Got a problem?" Yami retorted, annoyed that his attempt at persuasion had backfired.

"Fine, let's clear things up before we finish!!" The slim captains of Magic Knights squads, looking like a drug addict, stood up, ready to fight.

The slim captains of Magic Knights squads, whose name was Jack the Ripper, was a tall, lean man with gold eyes and loose, medium-length black hair. On the left side of his face, he has a thin, red scar (or birthmark) running from his forehead down to his chin, passing over his left eye and ends at the left side of his mouth. He possesses very sharp facial features, such as sharp eyes and a slit-like mouth. Additionally, he wore a light green shirt that only covers the upper half of his torso, leaving his abs uncovered. He wears form-fitting black pants, with green portions (the same green color as his shirt) that cover from the halfway point of his shin up to the halfway point of his thigh on both legs. He wears shoes with the same green color as his shirt.

Both of them glared at each other with intent to fight to the death. Seeing that the atmosphere was turning sour, William stood up and said, "Calm down, both of you. Let's wait until his turn."

"Shh," Yami scoffed disapprovingly before walking back to his seat on the second floor.

"Damned," Jack complained as he sat down in his chair.

After a while, it was finally time for Yugi's announcement.

"Number 111."

As soon as this number was announced, Yuji walked out in front of the nine captains of Magic Knights squads, who all raised their hands simultaneously, indicating 'it's time.'

"Alright, which unit will you choose?" William asked, looking at Yuji with a pensive and skeptical expression, wondering which squad Yuji, as an outsider, would choose since he didn't know Yuji's true intentions for applying to become a Magic Knight.

"I choose... first, may I ask which squad is the best and which squad is the worst?" In truth, Yuji already knew which squads was the best. He just wanted to ask to avoid seeming suspicious for choosing straight away because if he did, it would seem odd, and he might be thought to have hidden motives for applying to become a Magic Knight this time.

"When it comes to the best squad, every squad is equally good. However, as the captains of Golden Dawn squad, I must recommend my squad," William said with a smile.

"And which unit is the worst?" Yuji emphasized the worst unit because...

"The worst squad must be your squad, Yami. Haha!" Jack said with a sneer.

"What? You want to get beaten up, huh!?" Yami laughed immediately upon being accused like this, but however, it was the truth, which he couldn't deny.

"Is that so?" Yuji turned to look at Yami and thought for a moment before saying, "If I join the Black Bulls unit, can I bring my friend with me?"

Yes, indeed!!

Yuji intended to do this from the beginning because he wanted to invite his friend to join this squad so that they could work together on missions and not have to worry about being spied on for information they shouldn't know, as if many people in this world found out their true identities, they would definitely encounter serious trouble. For example, they might be captured and interrogated about the travel between their world and this world, or worse, they might be killed.

Upon hearing Yuji's question, Yami's expression softened, but inside, he was delighted because, in the end, he finally had holder of four-Leaf Clover Grimoires who was interested in joining his squad, even though he would have to accept another person as well.

"Tch," Jack grumbled in dissatisfaction when he saw that Yami might recruit holder of foure-Leaf Clover Grimoires to join the Black Bulls squad.

"Are you sure about joining the Black Bulls? Other squads are just as good," advised the vermillion hair captain of the Magic Knight Squad, as he didn't want Yuji to join the Black Bulls.

"Hey, Fuegoleon, you should know by now that this kid wants to join my squad. Let him make his own decision," Yami retorted with a hint of annoyance upon seeing Fuegoleon trying to sway Yuji.

Fuegoleon Vermillion, a tall man with purple eyes and long, straight vermillion hair. His hair is neatly combed to the back while leaving his long fringe combed to the left in a wavy hairstyle. One of his notable features is the red markings around his eyes. Another one is a diamond-shaped mark of similar color on the center of his forehead. Additionally, he also wears a pair of red earrings.

Fuegoleon's attire consists of a white tunic which is covered by a dark blue shirt with long sleeves and high collar. The shirt is decorated with gold-colored fabric with vertical stripes design on its edges, collars, and along the sleeves. In order to keep the shirt together, he wears a purple sash around his waist. Moreover, he wears white trousers and black high boots with similar design as his shirt. On top of his attire, he wears a long red cape.

"As for your question, I'll tell you straight up: he's in because your friend here isn't half bad," Yami uttered, his face tensed as he clasped his cigarette. Even in this demeanor, he saw potential in Maomao. He believed that one day, Maomao would stand as strong as any Magic Knight captains, without a doubt.

Seeing everything go according to plan, Yujii felt content, but outwardly, he remained calm before saying, "I agree."

"Excellent," Yami replied with a smile.

"Now, we'll be comrades in the same squad, Yuno, Asta," Asta said happily upon realizing that Yuji and Maomao had joined his squad.

"Too bad," murmured William, exhaling not because Yuji didn't join his squad but rather...

Following that, the exam results were announced, with many failing to become Magic Knights, and only a few succeeding. Yuji and Maomao joined the others in gathering around Asta as they waited for Yami and Finral to call them.

"From now on, I entrust myself to you, Asta," Yuji said.

"I entrust myself to you too, Asta," Maomao said, bowing slightly.

"I'll entrust myself to you as well, Yuji, Maomao," Asta said, pleased that Yuji and Maomao had joined the squad as same as his because at least he knew them. However, Yuno remained silent, contemplating some decisions and tightening his grip on his grimoire.

Then, Yami, Finral, and Gordon approached them before stopping and saying, "Alright, since one of you can't fly with a broom, you'll use this." Yami pointed at Finral and ordered him to open a portal to the Black Bulls' base.

"Um, sorry, Yami-san, this uses a lot of magic, so could you hurry it up?" Finral, who was opening the portal, sweated profusely as he exerted a lot of magic to maintain the portal's stability.

"Who do you think you're ordering around?" Yami asked upon hearing Finral's words. With a stern look, Yami pushed Asta into the portal before calling Yuji,Maomao , and the others to follow.

Black Bull's House

It is a headquarters that houses all of the members. The headquarters is in the form of a large, tall house with asymmetric structures. The house consists of multiple stories with most of them made of stone and brick. It has a large number of windows and chimneys and a single wooden gate for a front entrance. The base is located in a forest within the Common Region

"Welcome to the rowdiest and most undisciplined Magic Knight squad, the Black Bull squad," Yami declared with a grin as the gates to the Black Bulls' command center exploded open with a powerful blast.
