The timid and the foe

He walked about in the jazzy intro and bright colours and stepped down. So far, the skyscrapers were well proportioned with thick outlines and a burning reddish-brown night sky.

"No!"

He took a good look at himself and his suit was different, he had his black shoulder patches and at least he didn't have toothpick legs but his calves were massive, even bigger than his biceps. He flexed them. "Must be nice...again,"

He ran across the pavement and there were dark alleys everywhere. "Hoo! Smells like New Jersey," He flipped his hand over his nose. He leaned over and flinched at the Batmobile swerving out from a street to follow in his direction, he paled at the automobile with Joker's head on it and nearly passed out.

"Great, my worst nightmare,"

Joker let out an eerie evil laugh, the car swerved too and he stood dangerously at the bonnet holding a whimsical bazooka.

"Sorry Batsy, I'm afraid we're going to be in a sticky situation!"

A blob of bubblegum blasted his mobile and it nearly collapsed while Batman leapt out and reached into his belt to swerve batarangs at him.

"Argh!" Joker lurched when the gadgets hit the bazooka off his hands.

"Gah!" Harley Quinn gasped at him falling into the windshield and rode uncontrollably in both directions.

Deadpool was freaked out by the joker and he stepped away before the car crashed into a 99 cent store and he met Harley Quinn stepping out like a drunk and gagged.

"Yeesh, why did it have to be clowns?"

She had greyish make-up and shaggy off white hair. She had pearls hanging down her neck. Her dress was black and skimpy and she wore a hose and low heels.

"Joker!" She searched the front and gazed at the empty broken windshield. He was gone. She grimaced and then she spotted Deadpool and her grimace disappeared, grinning.

"Hey there, little fella, hiya!" She cartwheeled and he jumped on a table by a cafe. She punched the glass surface with her knuckle ring and it shattered.

He fell in between awkwardly with his hands stuck. "Wait! The 1700s called, they want their feathers back,"

POW!

She gave him an uppercut.

WHAM!

She slammed his head_and it sent him sliding down the table frame, she kicked him while he crawled out from under and hit his head.

The glass fell off his arms and he skipped with finesse in front of her "I'll have you know, I'm not one of the good guys,"

"Interestin'. Hiya!" She spun to kick him and he grabbed her heel.

"How do you fight in these?" He caught her other leg and pinned her down.

"Seriously! My legs bend the othuh way!"

She crawled forward.

Batman leapt at the Joker and he cackled doing cartwheels to avoid his blows and he spun upright laughing.

"You really think you can out best me? I'm always one step ahead of you,"

KABLAM!

He punched him with the back of his fist.

Joker spiralled crashing against a wall of crates. A delivery boy screamed running off and he grinned getting on the scooter and thrusting the handles.

"Ooh, it feels like spring break already, wee!"

He drove like a speed demon toward him.

"I'm just full of surprises_did I say that out loud?" He cupped his mouth and rebounded back on the spring shoes then he glanced at the pin hanging on his little finger. "Oopsie,"

"No," The grenade rolled over to show his face in front of him and it spat out gas.

He put on his mask and steered clear. "You're not getting away this time, Joker,"

He attacked.

Deadpool clapped her face and she nudged his head with her elbow and his gut, when he leaned over, she gripped his arm and threw him over her shoulder.

He crashed into the shard of glass and she gripped a Champagne bottle.

"Mind if we celebrate?"

He laid in a sexy pose "Oh please,"

She grimaced when he slowly drew a line across the glass and she threw the bottle, she felt something around her abdomen tighten "Yah!"

The line zipped up causing her to rise, pivot and droop under a sign.

"Oh a pinata, sweet and kinky, told you it was my birthday,"

The bottle broke in front of him spilling foam. "No!" He gathered up the glass.

Joker's uncanny grin widened and he raised his hands in surrender when Batman came closer.

Joker's hand held his flower and water spewed, he dodged the stream and Joker bounced over him.

"I assure you, Batman, it's sparkling. Until next time, ah ha ha ha ha!"

He bounced in large strides and he careened when a line cut across his jacket. He nudged a bell and was pinned against a wall.

He reached up but to no avail. "Oh, how did it end like this?"

Green Arrow put down his arrow from a building top, he zipped down by a cable and arrived with a mischievous grin on his face.

"Sorry Bats didn't think you would save the rest of the bad guys for me," He checked his timer and smiled "New record,"

Batman grunted at his annoying partner.

"Batman works alone,"

Deadpool grinned to himself when he realized his luck. He counted his fingers. "Oh right, the gang's all here! Finally,"

He jogged to them when Arrow waved a hand.

"Heyo,"

"Oh boy," He had mixed feelings about the Batman he met before and this one. "Okay, it's no time to act all love-shy,"

"You a friend or a foe?" He yelled.

"I'm coming, honey!"

A door sucked him in and Arrow's jaw dropped.

"That's happened before, right?" He asked and Batman grunted.

Harley Quinn cut the rope finally and squealed laughing while she got to the Joker helping him down.

A man gasped when she pushed him off his motorcycle.

"Pardon me. Later losers!" She laughed while she made away with the Joker up the street.

"Unfortunately, it has," Batman said and raised a grappling hook swinging after them.

Deadpool looked about and air bubbles sipped sparingly from his mask. He pulled up his mask and gasped. "Same universe,"

The waters were deep and sharks circled the fish.

'Well, as I live and breathe,' He thought.
