Like all the friends above who hated this MC, I'm here too. everything I wanted to talk about already seen in the Review so I'll just add one thing what a dumb MC .... so dumb that makes deby a loyd look aisten

First of all, Cthulhu is a made up fictionary character by an american author to resemble an octopus/dragon monster. The novel title is Evil God Gonfalon so what does Cthulhu have anything to do with this novel? Based on this wrong translation, I bet you the whole novel is a complete mess without reading it.

There’s only one reason why am making this post and that is I continuously see a whole bunch of people posting about The fact he has no idea what the anatomy of a jellyfish is. And that is perfectly reasonable if you did not read the title of the book. He’s going off the Cthulhu mythos so don’t expect a powerful jellyfish but instead a giant god that has parts resembling tentacles. Your complaints are perfectly reasonable just please remember this is not a jellyfish book it’s a Cthulhu book. If you don’t know about Cthulhu you’re reading this book please look up Lovecraft. The explanation there will provide you what you need to know before deciding to pick this up or not.

The only time I ever agreed with a rating on Webnovel, mines 3.8 while right now 3.9 book, for once the reviewers were honest, though itll get boosted later by spam.

A story filled with suspense, mystery & a sense of righteousness. It will take you on ride to the world filled with gods, and the strong & how the main character flows through this river as space & time traveller.

I gave up on this by chapter 15 because of the translation quality. The world doesn’t seem well thought out either. Other than that it seems like a basic power up fantasy.

Really bad writing, and poor translation. Only someone looking for a crappy novel to skim over would enjoy it. In order to enjoy fiction, the suthor has to write it in a way that the reader can suspend their disbelief. If they fail to do this, no one can enjoy it unless their knowledge and world experience is extremely lacking.

The story is great and unique, but the grammars are bad, awful and unbearable. For that I am NOT sorry to tell you I will stop reading it for sure.

The story of this novel is a lot better than other chinese novel. Good flow, and doesn't have any plot holes. It also has consistent world building and lots of character development, not just for the main characters but also for the side characters. Overall, it's a fun read, always put a smile on my face and gives a relaxing feel Another thing that distinguishes this novel is the MC is a genuine good person. He is different than other chinese MC that love to massacre and extremely ruthless.

An utter scam, synopsis says hes an evil god but hes so good its annoying, he forces people who dont want to be good to being good against their will and acts like hes saving them and its so f***** annoying. Hes the equivalent of a mc who saves any rando in trouble. YOU ARE A GOD, ACT LIKE ONE, its so annoying

Turn back this isn't a cool cuthulu becoming an evil god story it's a perverted tentacle, generic Chinese fantasy. The author hasn't really taken the time to think through their story, as such neither should you. If you're looking for Chinese fantasy then this is below average, if you're looking for erotic literature then this waaaay below average. If you enjoy having your emersion broken every 40 seconds because you can't help stopping to think 'Wait this is really dumb, what am I reading? Where did I go wrong in life that I'd be wasting my time reading this garbage?' then this is the book for you. Man this review is mean... well it's not wrong though.
