First of all, Cthulhu is a made up fictionary character by an american author to resemble an octopus/dragon monster. The novel title is Evil God Gonfalon so what does Cthulhu have anything to do with this novel? Based on this wrong translation, I bet you the whole novel is a complete mess without reading it.

actually, the new translator work is quite passable, it's just a trend of not changing the title, as for the take on the story- it's decent for a while until the "kingdom building" part- the MC hesitation ruined it all.
