Shark Attack

Not long after talking to Shane, I received a call from the event organizer who worked in Dakota City. They wanted to confirm a few things with me because the Concert I had been planning there was coming up. The concert venue I had rented out had a capacity of around 7700-8000. Considering I had let my fans know as soon as I had gotten the notification from my system to do a show there a while back, I figured I could probably fill quite a few of those seats.

According to my system I currently had over one hundred thousand and fifty five hundred fans worldwide. It wasn't much compared to a big time Celebrity, but I was content with this number at this current point in my career. Honestly it was better than most who had been working many years in the same field. I also was aware that it was mostly due to the fact that I had access to hit songs this world had never heard of before and the fact that I had so many gimmicks to make my shows interesting. I was in dire need of self improvement if I wanted to really stand out.

The event organizer was asking about security and considering the Joker had crashed my show in Gotham, I knew I needed super security if I didn't want any interruptions this time around. The problem with this was that It would cost me a pretty penny to hire a super human to protect me and the crowd. After thinking for a bit, I told the event organizer that I would figure out the security on my own.

In the DC Universe Hiring super humans for security for big events was a must and I had just been lucky up till the Joker attack before. It was probably why so many big time celebrities from my world never existed here. Not everyone could immediately afford to pay superhumans to protect them and so many couldn't even dream to be a big celebrity while some others would hire normal guards and be swiftly killed before they could ever make a name for themselves.

The more famous you were in the DC Universe the more villains that would target you. Tupac Shakur for example wasn't shot to death in this world and although he had made it somewhat big here before dying, he was ultimately targeted by a super stalker who liked to collect things that caught his eye. At first pac had gone missing and people had wondered where he had gone, but months later the police had found him and other Celebrities frozen in giant chunks of ice inside the Super stalkers home.

Thankfully because I was super myself, I didn't have to worry about all of that. Instead I had to worry about my Hero Identity being exposed. It was smart to hire super security that has no connection to King Moonlight for now.

Ending my call with the organizer, I noticed Supergirl flying above over my store looking very bored. She was probably headed to my Castle. She seemed to come by a lot more than normal lately. Without much thought I purchased a room for her and then called out to her. "SUPERGIRL, DOWN HERE!"

Supergirl flew down to me and then spoke as she looked at the store being built in front of her. "Oh, the store is almost finished, what are you planning to sell?"

I tried to put on an air of mystery as I replied. "This store will add a bit more magic to Moonlight City, why don't you wait and experience it for yourself?".

I had been preparing different items for the store for a long time now in my spare time and was excited for the stores opening day which wasn't far away. I predicted that I would be able to open right after my concert if everything kept going smoothly.

Supergirl looked at the store in front of her once again. It seemed extremely ordinary and was being built by ordinary means, she couldn't help but wonder how it was magical, but she knew the man she was talking to was far from ordinary. Right as she was about to respond to his words, King Moonlight spoke again.

"Want to check out the new training room I recently built? Only if you don't have any plans for the next few days though".

Supergirl tilted her head. "What kind of training would take that long?" the more she thought about it, the redder her face got. 'What did this man consider training?' she thought.

Seeing this I laughed out loud. "Get your mind out of the gutter, you will see what I mean when we start our workout".

After saying this, I started to fly to my castle. Shortly after I saw Supergirl arrive by my side in the sky, her face still as red as before, if not redder.

Because we weren't far away it took less than two seconds to arrive at my castle as we both landed and walked inside. To my surprise I was greeted by Hila who was accompanied by Jeff the Shark.

Jeff immediately ran up and bit my leg, holding on tight with his sharp teeth. It didn't hurt, but Supergirl and Hila both laughed as I shook my leg trying to free myself of his grip.

Hila walked over and grabbed Jeff off of my leg. "Bad Jeff, don't treat your father like this".

I shook my head at her words. "I don't remember fathering any kids and if I did they would be a million times more handsome than him".

Jeff started to cry and pout as Hila comforted him. "Jeff don't listen to him, you are plenty handsome. He doesn't know what he's talking about".

Seeing a land shark literally cry in front of me made me roll my eyes at the absurdity of it all as Supergirl also went to comfort Jeff and scowl in my direction.

It seems Jeff had covertly taken over my castle when I hadn't been paying attention. How did this happen? Not wanting to give the land shark any more attention than it already was getting, I spoke up. "I was just about to take Supergirl to the new training room, would you like to join Hila?"

Hila seemed excited at the idea. "Yes, can Jeff come? I don't want to leave him alone for too long".

"Jeff is not invited, sorry. It's not a place for pets". I replied as Hila sat Jeff down with a slight sad expression on her face before talking to the baby shark. "Mommy will be back soon".

After Hila and Supergirl were in the elevator and the doors started to close, I made eye contact with the Shark outside. I wasn't able to contain my smirk. 'This is my house you dumb shark' is all I could think as the doors finally closed.

As the elevator started to go up, both Supergirl and Hila noted the new button for Supergirl's personal room on the panel in front of them. Supergirl looked over at Hila awkwardly, only to be surprised by Hila who silently smiled and gave her an approving look as if to say 'This is fine by me'.

Seeing the elevator close, Jeff immediately stopped looking sad and scowled at the door before jumping up on the Kings throne and taking a big steamy dump and then trotting away with a huge toothy grin on his face.
