Parasites (part 2)

Making my way down back to the surface of the planet I parked my bike as everyone except the person I was here for ran away. I picked this person with the parasite in his brain over everyone else because he was closest to the teenagers I also wanted to investigate. 

"What sort of race are you?" Asked the man with a parasite in his head. 

I chuckled at his question. "Funny, I was just about to ask you the same thing. I know parasites just like you and honestly I don't care about how you spend your free time, I just want some information. So what is your race called?".

"I don't know how you figured out that I was a controller for this body, but I don't see a reason to answer your question." 

After thinking for a bit, I told Joppi to watch him and id be right back. I made my way to Ephyra and grabbed a few things. 

As soon as I was in front of the parasite guy again I was surprised to see he was flat on his stomach with Joppi sitting on top of him. "He tried to leave". She said as she stood up off of him. 

'Understandable" i said as I grabbed the man up and gave him a choice. "We can go the easiest way where you tell me what I want, I can torture you until you tell me, or I can go mad scientist on you to soothe my curiosity. You choose" 

"I'm not scared of you" replied the man. 

Using the torture function of my kara kesh that was now part of my body and the torture function of my lightsaber that had the rod of anguish's tech inside it now, I gave him a  combo of both. If he somehow went crazy or died from the pain, this earth had many others I could get my information from and I wasn't worried. 

"Your poor attempts at torture do not work on me, It is not my body you are torturing, I can turn off any shared feeling with this host". 

I nodded my head after seeing he was right. "Mad scientist route it is then" I said as I pulled out a flask with a Goa'uld in it that I had previously gotten from the planet Chulak when I had killed Apophis. I held the man down and pushed the containers opening up against the back of his neck as I watched the Goa'uld go inside. 

I was extremely interested to see which would win in a fight for the host between the Goa'uld and this parasite. The fight between the two was apparent as the host body began to twitch and move in an odd fashion. As they fought I sat back and watched. 

"What is this..!?" the parasite asked. It was clearly in pain. 

Using my tricorder I scanned the body. The parasite of this world was still enveloping the brain while the Goa'uld was attached to the spine. They appeared to not be physically fighting, but instead fighting for control over the host which was killing all three of them in the process. 

A while later there was a clear winner. "Ha.... your plan failed again demon". 

I laughed out loud at his provoking words and pulled out a bigger canister with at least 20 Goa'uld in it. "I have all night".

Seeing the canister the parasite man sighed. "We are called the Yeerks, is that all you wanted to know?" 

"Yes, was that so hard?" I asked as I pulled out my lightsaber and severed his head from his body. Not long after I saw a tiny slug like creature make its way out of the mans ear. Using the canister I had released the goa'uld from earlier I scooped it up and put it inside and then grabbed one of the goa'ulds from the other canister and put it in with it. I was curious how they would react to each other outside of the body sharing the same space. 

I was rather disappointed to see them not interacting at all and so I put the two canisters away. The two creatures are extremely similar. One is a genderless slug that goes through the back of the neck and wraps around the spine to control it's host, while the other is a genderless slug that goes through the ear and wraps around the brain to control their host. 

Maybe I should find a birthing Goa'uld to experiment a bit further. Maybe these are their parallel kin. 

I had no memory of a race called Yeerks, but that guy wasn't going to be much help so I headed towards the group of teenagers that were also a bit suspicious. 

When Joppi and I arrived in front of the group of teenagers, they didn't look overly surprised like the humans we had seen before running away when they saw us. Getting straight to the point I spoke up. "Are you all human? Why do you appear different from the other humans?" 

The teenagers were on guard as the clearly brave leader of the group walked forward and spoke on behalf of them all. "Who are you? Are you a friend of the Yeerks or the Andalites? Ive never heard of your kind before."

I was a bit annoyed that nobody on this earth seemed to want to answer my questions, but I tried to be a bit more civil with my approach this time around. "I have no affiliation with either group. Now answer my question. Are you guys human? and if you are, why are you different from other humans?" I asked. 

"My name is Jake and my friends and I are all human, as for the question about how we are different, I can't answer that." The young leader said as he kept his eyes on our movements. 

I shook my head in disappointment.  "Why must you make an enemy out of me? Just tell me what I want to know and i'll leave you be."

After saying this another teenager stepped forward. "Jake, just tell him. He's not human, why does it matter?". 

Jake looked at his friend Tobias. "and what if he is an enemy?" 

"I don't think he is one, but if we continue to upset him, I think he will be." Said Tobias

Hearing the other teenagers words I spoke. "Your friend is right. I'm not a patient guy. If I don't get my information I will fight and it won't be pretty." 

It was at this moment that I noticed the blonde girl behind the two boys starting to change. Her appearance which was once human started to look more and more animal until she had turned herself into a Lion and then launched herself at me. 

"Ah, I think I know where I am" I said as I finally realized.
