Reviews of A Sorcerer's Journey

This novel is sorcery with a darker twist where death appears to be everywhere. Story-wise, my only complaint is the fast forwarding by the author (or maybe its because the translators leave it out, don't know) to skip time. Biggest complaint is the poor translation ethic. Don't believe me, see chapter 47 and 48 where translator simply says 'to be continued' then proceed to summarize what happened in 47 & 48 in his own words in chapter 47.

Absolutely one of my favourite novels that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the only let down is the fact that it has been ignored by qidian and most of all the translator I’m not even sure if it still has a translator working on it since it hasn’t been updated for god knows how long! Can someone please take over this novel I’d happily support it on Patreon as well! This novel deserve attention and a dedicated translation team.

Well i hope we will get a mass release till chapter 200 and some else will continue it... why didnt cklaton took it in... so sad for this novel. I think that this novel is even better then The Wizards world

i like this story and i even like your style of translating but 5 chapters a week is far to few if its that you arn't paid enough let us know some of us are rich(not me im poorer than a church mouse)and we all need our readers crak now if its RL then im sorry ill leave you alone and wish you good luck

Translator doing a very bad job in this. He make up his own stories, cut alot of words from the original chinese novel. He should had make his own book rather than being a translator. What a lame ass.

i gave full stars because i like the book so far. a question for the author tho is that is the maincharacter a necromancer sometime in the book? please let me know. thank you

If you read Warlock of the Magus World, this world will feel quite familiar. It's basically a new take on these previous Warlock/sorcerer/mage novels based on The Wizard World. It's quite entertaining, but don't expect a life changing novel.

A Sorcerer's Journey. World's Best Martial Artist. Both novels, especially the second one, are on par with Lord of the Mysteries (WBMA was actually better than LotM for me). Sadly, both were dropped for new, trash trial novels. The last novel I am binge reading everytime it gets a couple of chapters is Legendary Mechanic. Are they gonna drop it too? ;/ F qidian

Except for release schedule and some chapters translations, everything about this novel is outstanding! MC isn't overpowered and his development goes well with other character and background development. I'm reading chapter 530. Still enjoying it like in the early ones. Give it a try!

Good work. Enjoyable read. Some of the elements don't seem to fit for me but that could be things lost in translation. Only 50 chapters in and hooked. Would like to see Grimm develop a bit of backbone though.

Filled with super cliches and poor story. At some points this author sounds like a twelve year old, aka I'm so baddd I floss with a sword, or I'm do rich I dip steak into caviar (how, just how). To be fair I stopped at chapter 20, and it might get spontaneously better, but with a start like this... I doubt it.

Childlike story mixing gore, cruel and dark element with a protagonist who should have be baptised with fire and end to be dumb, trustful and just plain. Add to it fights without depth and ellipses, you get some random thing that barely qualifie as a book. The author express that sorcerer are the ultimate beings that will do anything to gain knowledge or power : but in truth respect human life (not their students though for some baffling reasons) and end to be cute like bullying children. I would recommand "age of adept" which is the same but better written and with far more depth to it. At least it get premium fast so you can drop it quickly. Enjoy!
