Translator doing a very bad job in this. He make up his own stories, cut alot of words from the original chinese novel. He should had make his own book rather than being a translator. What a lame ass.

I'm the translator of this novel. I admit that I've rearranged things during the translation but only trying to make it more acceptable and appealing to readers. From Chapter 57, I promise that I'm gonna stick to the raw.

I'm not discouraged by this and I thank you for speaking out for all readers who may have the same feeling about the translation. I admit that I was trying to be smart in doing all of the stuff you mentioned, which shouldn't be forgiven by both the readers and Qidian. There is one specific thing I'd like to argue for myself-Garfield, though. The whole story is kind of set in a western world. Names of the characters and the places etc. are western ones. If you translated 伽黑猫 using onomatopoeia, you would arrive at Garfield 90 percent, and for the 10%, you would get nothing to match it, except for using Pinyin, which would not blend with other western names. Criticism aside, I've been working on the old chapters by sticking to the raw when translating and adding the two missing chapters (And I'm sorry that my editor has to go through them again!) and from C57, I will definitely be loyal to the raw. There is one thing I desire to clarify, though: I may have done a bad job in translating, but the raw is a great novel. Please give a great novel a second chance.

I'm glad you're not discouraged. I admit I was wrong about Garfield. I thought it had another name. My bad. To be honest, I have many novels I want to read, but I don't have enough time. If not for this whole issue then this novel would continue to floating under my radar, but, now, I'm interested. And, I intend to read it after there are a lot of chapter s release. Maybe you could consider this a small good thing. I want to clarify one thing for myself too. I'm actually fine with your former style, but I understand why others are not.

I'm ecstatic knowing you like my style! It's the best thing that happened in months! Keep to this novel and you'll become addicted. But I've to admit that there are lots of excellent novels on this website, and by reading them, you'll get to know a country's culture and its people's mentality behind it, besides the thrilling plots or fierce fighting. Hope you'll enjoy your journey!

Don't worry, though I'm not sure how Curve feels about my hijacking his review.

I'd make a wager that he/she will understand. This discussion is in our common interest.

I deleted my first comment here since I believe there are no issues anymore. I don't want to misguide new reader. I want to do the same to my second comment, but it gave context to your reply.

The negative reviews are really giving me a hard time. Just feel the power of feedbacks! And I'm trying to pull myself together to face the criticism. Besides, I'm considering to put everything on hold and focus on getting the old chapters right (and of course getting new chapters done in the right way)

You shouldn't put everything on hold and focus on old chapters. There are people looking forward to new chapters.

Thanks for this advice. And I hope you're one of those who are looking forward to the new chapters. (BTW, I'll notify you when all the old chapters have been redone. This is gonna take several weeks though, since many chapters have been released.)
