CHAPTER 30

Karthikeyan looked at the 2 helpless dwarves with his cold eyes.

Seeing them tremble didn't necessary satisfy his ego or anything.

At the end of the day , it was not these 2 demons who caused the death of 4 billion people back on Earth.

He was stuck in a dilemma of what to do when suddenly

The mother dwarf who was about 5 feet eyed the corner of the room and soon took a knife pointing it at Karthikeyan.

"You brute , stay away from us " she told with trembling hands.

At first when she saw him , she didn't feel bad aura but instead she thought for a second he probably was a demon.

But seeing that he was preparing to kill them both , she knew that that was not the case.

"Brute?"

Karthikeyan then looked into her eyes and remarked in a cold tone.

"Actually I think you got the roles switched. Isn't what you guys do considered barbaric?"

Hearing this question , the mother had no replies and just stood there determined to save her daughter.

She was only level 5 , even though much weaker than Karthikeyan , she didn't care.

Karthikeyan , even though was cold on the outside was very reluctant to kill this daughter and mother pair.

Even if he let them be , his other squad members in the greed of getting experience point would just kill them.

As for the daughter , even though she couldn't fight had a very interesting skill that increased the forging success by 4 percent.

She had b tier talent and level 6 skill.

Just as he was contemplating whether or not to make her his slave , the mother dwarf suddenly attacked him thereby startling him.

As she was near, just as she was going to split his neck , her world turned upside down.

She had been decapitated at lighting speed.

"Hope you get a good life in your next reincarnation"

Karthikeyan told his final farewell to the dwarf , whose body and head fell to the ground lifeless.

The most shocking revelation that was held in the manual was that reincarnation was indeed possible and was in fact one of the fundamental laws of nature.

Even though they wouldn't possibly remember their previous life memories , the soul which inhabits the new body will nevertheless be theirs and they would start a new life in a distant corner of the universe.

The intricate details was still unknown but still the fact that reincarnation was true sent the world upside down with people being more daring and also justifying murder.

Karthikeyan even though was not one of them could't help but shake his head as he had just killed a person.

"My mind is a mess" Karthikeyan remarked.

If he didn't kill , others will kill him. Thats why every time he killed , he clenched his teeth and killed. There was no other way around.

He then shaking away his thoughts soon started to approach the daughter dwarf who out of fear had almost unconsciously passed out. Dwarves were one of the confident species of the world , but then she was just a child.

Just then , a figure came at high speeds.

Before Karthikeyan could react, it tackled him at high speeds , with such tremendous force , that he heard some bones crackling.

Soon he and the perpetrator were left outside the house and on the streets.

"Oh , to think that someone weaker than me by several levels survived that , you are definitely interesting " he heard a feminine voice.

She was an above average women in looks with an above average build. She was about the same height as Michael , if not a bit taller. She wore a black-clad dress that perfectly went with the night. She had crimson red eyes that seemed to pierce his soul. She also had raven black hair that extended upto her waist. He also noticed that she had prominent canine teeth when she talked earlier.

She was a vampire.

"A vampire" Karthikeyan mused.

Vampires were powerful species and were very rare and scarce.

Even the invading forces which amounted to around 60 million didn't have a lot of vampires and probably amounted to 3 percent.

After analysing her , he came to know that she was level 16 and had 2 level 5 skills all specialising in daggers.

"Never seen one?" she smiled seductively.

Karthikeyan knew better than others that the women who acted like this were the most twisted ones.

Looking at the blood dripping from her daggers and mouth , he knew she had killed some of his squad members before getting here.

"Never want to , I guess , especially you"

"Is that so ? Then I will make your wish come true"

As soon as she said that she hid in the shadows.

"Dammit" Karthikeyan cursed out loud. Up until this point he had never faced an assassin and didn't know how to deal one.

He activated his skill [THE CURSE OF THE SHADOW] and waited for the enemy to attack him while cautiously gauging his surroundings.

Due to the tackle , he had lost a staggering 600 hp putting him at 500 hp. Nevertheless he used his [ANGELIC BOON] skill to get back to near perfect health.

He then felt fluctuations near his head area and in a skilful manner , dodged the attack aimed at piercing his skull.

Seeing his extreme reflexes , the vampire couldn't help but remark at his speed

"You are quite fast , aren't you ? almost as fast me" she still talked in her playful tone.

Without replying anything , he just stood his ground.

The vampire again disappeared in the shadows but this time was actually closing in the distance from head on.

She would sometimes appear on the right and on the left.

Soon she was right at Karthikeyan's face and aimed her dagger near his heart while trying to hold on to his right shoulder with her left hand trying to create that dramatic scene where she would directly stare at his eyes while he slowly fell to the ground dead.

Brute forcing his way by directly moving his body sideways and getting hit in the body he soon slashed his sword with such strength and speed that cut her left hand like butter.

Her screams filled the night as blood oozed out from her hand.

Her dagger had successfully stabbed Karthikeyan but only in the middle of his chest , in the sternum.

Seeing that she lost her hand , bearing the pain , she tried to remove her dagger and retreat some step back.

Unfortunately for her , she couldn't do it as her dagger was stuck in his body.

With all his force Karthikeyan managed to hold in the dagger.

Seeing it was fruitless , she quickly let go of her dagger and tried to escape.

And just as she was about to escape , Karthikeyan held her right hand with his left hand tightly so that she couldn't escape from his clutch.

And just as she was cursing at him with abusive words , he quickly took his chance and cut off her head with a single diagonal sword strike.

Her head fell on the ground pale with no life.

He then let go off the headless body he was holding on to with his hand.

And with that he had successfully killed a vampire and that too a strong one.
