Seeing Karthikeyan approaching her , Sophia somewhat sighed in relief but that didn't mean that all her worries were now gone.

Even though Karthikeyan was talented and strong, as far as she knew was still behind 6 or 5 levels behind the scary commander who appeared out of nowhere and was currently causing havoc.

Helping Sophia up , he soon gave her 2 basic potions and 2 basic mana recovering potion he got from killing the demons.

Even though Sophia wanted to reject it , she couldn't as she herself didn't have any potions and was very injured currently. Potions were expensive and started at 500 currencies.

Swearing to return her favour in her mind , she grateful accepted Karthikeyan 's offering and soon her hp went from 100 to 1100 and her mana reserve went from 10 to 2000.

Each basic potion could heal 500 hp and a mana recovering potion recovered about 1000 mana.

"You good ?" Karthikeyan soon asked her

"Yeah , Im all healed " she replied in a grateful tone.

"Alright lets finish this" soon he began to size up the commander that was causing them some problems.

By a hair's breadth , John dodged the attack that was aimed at his arms by Levis.

Levis was the strongest opponent by far he knew in this battlefield and he was sure causing him some problems.

Not to mention the other guy , who as was shorter than him attacked at unconventional places where his defence was low.

Soon he felt somewhat weird and stepped back a little bit.

Michael who was startled by the actions of his opponent frowned and soon feeling a familiar aura , he turned around to see Sophia approaching him

"Sophia!, thank god you are ok " Seeing that she was now healed and was ok , he remarked.

Soon his eyes landed on the man who was with her.

"Karthikeyan , if Im not wrong?"

"You are not."

"You saved her?"

"Yeah , I guess?" he replied while shaking his head goofily.

"I would make sure to pay my sincere gratitudes after we leave the dungeon but for now "

He soon turned and squinted on the opponent in front of him with clear hatred

"Lets get rid of this bastard and make ourselves proud."

"Yeah " Sophia soon joined in approving the endeavour . She too now bore intense hatred for the man in front of him.

Chuckling while hearing this John soon replied

"Oh , now that your little mage is all healed up and you got a weak ass man joining in the attack , you think you have a chance with me?" he spoke sarcastically before coldly speaking

"Although you were formidable , I don't have times for your game . Expect this to be finished soon"

Soon after consuming a basic potion , he then activated his level 4 skill [ATTACK BOOST] a fairly common skill . He had previously used all his 2 other skills and now they were all in cooldown.

His [ATTACK BOOST] skill was in the realm of mastery and gave him an incredible boost of 10 attacks points at the cost of minus 2 speed points.

As his original speed matched Michael and was higher than Levis , it reducing was not a problem for him.

"Guys formation and Karthikeyan guard the rearguard." Michael shouted after consuming a potion as well.

Levis did the same and now everything started from square one with the addition of Karthikeyan joining the battle.

"What a pest" John rebuked after 5 minutes.

This Karthikeyan guy who showed up was proving to be a menace as he relentlessly gave a perfect backup for Michael and Levis.

Although his aura was different from the others and he didn't at first hold repulsive thoughts , he soon found himself harbouring hatred towards this man as well.

Even though , his prowess was not remarkable , him providing the perfect backup showed his talent .

He also couldn't even get rid of him as Michael and Levis would never let him get close.

His hp was now 1000 after dropping from 1600.

His potions supply now ran short and he had now basically no potions.

He was not a very talented demon as he was only D rank talented and as such had no potent skill that went along it.

His skill's time was also coming to an end with only 2 minutes remaining on the clock.

"Do I have to really use it?" reluctantly weighing his options , he decided to use the only trump card he had.

Soon taking out a level 6 item from his inventory that looked like card , without giving Michael and the others time to react , he quickly ripped it off by the top and cast it towards them.

"So long suckers"

Grinning widely soon turning his head , eyeing a spot , he quickly disappeared much to the surprise of the others.

Everyone seeing the danger and feeling a tingling feeling that confirmed it soon tried to distance themselves form the card.

Except it was too late for Michael.

*BOOM*

An explosion that was heard across the fields caught the attention of the fighters on the field.

Levis , Sophia and Karthikeyan escaped as they at that moment were quite far from Jacob.

Michael was the one who was engaging him at close distance.

"Michael!!" Sophia shouted as she saw that Michael didn't escape.

The card that Jacob used was a spell card that causes an explosion within a 100 meters radius when ripped off.

It also gave the user the ability to teleport to a desired location within 1 km radius.

It was a top level 6 item and had caused John his entire fortune to buy it.

After retreating himself to safety , he shouted at the top of his lungs for his soldiers to retreat as well.

Like that , the 50 demons including John retreated the battlefield , while leaving the humans stranded .

Keeping steadfast , they gave chase but to no avail. Using the explosion , the demons had managed to create an opening for themselves to escape.

Soon 60 humans found themselves stranded in the blood ridden fields with their fates under scrutiny.
