Chapter Seventeen

Packed bags and a whole two weeks have gone by, it's crazy what life can make you do when you least expect it.

"So I've restocked the fridge with all the essentials as I didn't want to leave it empty for next week," I said as myself and Jasmine stood by the door, it was my time to say goodbye and accept that the two-week nanny Job was officially over.

"I don't want you to go!" Summer whined as she stood beside her mum and looked up at me giving me the cutest puppy eyes ever! How do you say no and break a lil girl's heart like that? You don't! That should be the answer!

"Thank you for looking after her, I can't begin to say how much we appreciate it," Jasmine said as I nodded grabbing hold of my suitcase handle and nodding.

"Hope to see you real soon, stay in touch and Summer stay out of trouble" I added before turning around and heading in the direction of the bus stop.

Could I have gotten an Uber? yes!

Could I have asked Jasmine to drop me home? Yes!

Did I think that possibly me dragging my suitcase to an open public bus stop would mean that on the off chance Mason is around he would "bump" into me and offer to drop me home? Yes.

And it was about to be my lucky day because as I was just about to reach the bus stop I heard a car horn from behind me, I turned around and there he was in all his glory.

"Wanna ride home," he asked as I smiled, he was wearing a black cap and his signature sunglasses as he rolled back up the window and I opened the back seat door chucked my suitcase on the seats then jumped into the passenger seat.

"Can't believe it's all over" was the first thing Mason said when I got in the car and we set off, I looked over at him and shrugged, "it was always going to come to an end, I had fun and so did Summer" I said as he looked over at me and smiled then looked back at the road.

"I enjoyed myself too, having people around in errands makes my days a little better," he said with a smile indicating that he enjoyed us at his photo shoot and interview the other day.

I looked over at him and smiled "I enjoyed watching you in that suit, you looked very attractive" I said as I quickly looked away from him and out the window as a blush crept on my face, I don't think there is one person on this planet that can confidently say they are good at flirting, and if there is someone they are definitely single themselves.

I could feel Mason's stare burning into the side of my head as I looked out the window trying to distract myself from admitting how attractive I found him, while in my own daze about everything I suddenly felt a warmth in my thigh, I snapped my head down at my lap and Mason had placed his hand on my thigh just very causually while still having one hand on the wheel.

He proceeded to rub at my thigh very slowly as to reassure me or comfort me, which was the only thing he wasn't doing, my heart was going 500 miles an hour while my hands started to sweat and my mind decided to take off on me, I looked up at him and he gave me a warm smile then went back to looking at the road not for one moment thinking to remove his hand.

We arrived at my place and Mason helped me put my suitcase inside and I gave him the grand tour of mine and Thor's humble abode.

"Not as fancy as you are used to," I said as I fell onto the sofa followed by Mason who quickly pulled me closer so I was resting on his chest, I looked up at him as he scanned the room one last time and then looked down at me.

"No I think this is a nice place, is warm and cosy, it's a family home one where you can raise children in and you know make memories, it looks like it comes with a lot of stories," he said as I smiled to myself, this man I swear he can never do wrong!

"I'm glad you think that, it is a generational home, used to be my grandparents and now it's mine and Thor is just a roommate, though he is like a brother now" I chuckled as Mason looked back down at me and placed his fingers under my chin bringing my lips up to meet his.

"That's good" he stated before closing the gap between us and giving me a peck, the kiss was supposed to be a peck but when you are this close to Mason Mount then you test what can be done and what was allowed. with consent obviously!

I slowly pushed myself up slowly hoovering over Mason as he grabbed my hips and laid himself down smiling into the kiss that was starting to get a lot steamier.

His hands went from on my hips to under my top gripping a little harder at my skin I was definitely going to have fingertips on my hips from how tight his grip was, I placed both my hands on his cheeks grabbing at his face, I don't know what had gotten over us but we were making out as if this was the last time we'd see each other.

Was it?

"I would like it if you could have sex in your own room instead of the communal sofa" A voice jumped us out of our skins and out of our trace making us quickly tear apart, sitting as if we were getting told off for doing something terrible by our parents.

I turned my head and saw Thor placing his keys down, making his way into the living room and squeezing himself between the two of us, he turned to me and smiled then he practically jumped around to face Mason.

"Now before I have my little moment because Mason Mount is sitting on my sofa I want to be serious and a good friend, If you so much as upset Staf here I will break your foot so badly that you'll have to retire early," Thor said with what I was hoping was an empty threat and jokey seriousness in his voice, he went so far as to knit his eyebrows together and point and the poor boy.

Mason moved his hand back and looked between Thor's finger and me as to ask for some help in this situation, I smiled a little at the back of Thor's head and shook my own.

"Thor you don't have to worry nobody is to know about us, we are not public and aren't going public at all, maybe in the late future if we are still a thing but for now I don't want my life threatened by hormonal children who haven't sat their GCSE let alone know what a period is," I said as Thor and Mason scrunched their noses at the sheer word period. Boys. Am I right?

Before anything else's could be exchanged Thor started talking Mason's head off about how much he loved watching him play and blah blah blah

"You'll have to come see the next game, I can get you in the family box," Mason said as I had resulted in scrolling through my phone and doing what I thought to be zero to nothing but the boys thought something of.

"Are we boring you?" Thor nudged me as I looked up and nodded "Very much" I stated as I faked a yawn and the boys rolled their eyes, "Mason was just saying how he'll put us in his family box for his next game" Thor said as I nodded "yeah I won't be going to that, you go with one of your boys" I said as both of the boys had sad expressions on their faces.
