Yeas Danzo spread rumors abour Sakumo and Hiruzen doesn't stop him. But there not wanted kill Sakumo, but less his authority in mass, who know what he choose suicide after all?! Z_Ril:doesn't danzo spread rumors about sakumo that lead to his death? all because he is afraid that sakumo would become the next hokage? i agree that at times of war, danzo is great. but aside from that, he is terrible. he's the reason why uchiha becomes agitated and wants to revolt. if the uchiha were to be given respect that they deserve, do you think the uchiha revolution would even happen? and don't forget about the senju, who drove them to literal extinction? Not gonna lie, this whole time I thought this man was an orphan. That’s why I was saying do a blood test to find out he’s a senju because of the template. Come to find out his family are anbu so never around. Either way, this whole thing screams of danzo. Because there’s no way hiruzen would do this afte getting reports of the mc basically being a war hero
50% of Tobirama was enough to defeat Kage level. So, 70% should be more than enough to intimidate Hiruzen if needed. Remember, it was only after Hashirama and Tobirama's death, that everyone started calling themselves strongest (Onoki, Hiruzen, Hanzo of the Salamander, etc.).
