Come to find out his family are anbu so never around. Either way, this whole thing screams of danzo. Because there’s no way hiruzen would do this afte getting reports of the mc basically being a war hero

50% of Tobirama was enough to defeat Kage level. So, 70% should be more than enough to intimidate Hiruzen if needed. Remember, it was only after Hashirama and Tobirama's death, that everyone started calling themselves strongest (Onoki, Hiruzen, Hanzo of the Salamander, etc.).
