From what I can tell is the MC cannot be defined as a simp. He seems to suffer from Stockholm Syndrome and clinging onto any shred of humanity that he can. In this case being the Players of Yggdrasil. I do think he has a unhealthy romantic/worship obsession with Sera which comes off as something akin to Simping. I think the 2 biggest issue I have for this entire first arc is that his mind would likely be deteriorating far more than it has over the 6 years before the closing of the servers. It also feels like it is useless drama due to the fact that the MC will have a personality shift due to the NPC lore and likely race affecting him. This is all ignoring the fact that they will be going to GOT/ASOIAF where while not all the gods are confirmed, Rhyllor and the Stranger or their religions has active effects upon Planetos which would through them into likely a direct conflict if the gods do exist and can sense their appearance in the world. Where they would be significantly more powerful than likely anything other than maybe the gods. (MC doesn't even seem to be mentally prepared to go to the canon New World).
