In cannon, Lion should have been directly involved, right? I was thinking Ian would draw the 'do yourself' card. Then help Angelica beat the prince by herself. Although I was disappointed by the lack of direct action. This might be a better solution. Mc doesn't have to be a knight on a white horse.

To be honest, that felt disappointing that MC didn't intervene with how important this scene is to the canon story since this pretty much is the powder keg for the rest of the novel to genuinely start.
