With how different this world is compared to Rowling's, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that Lockhart either has the diary or is so skilled and superior to Batman at preparing for the enemy that he doesn't look like Moody.

So far, from what you've had Lockhart show in his class, I can safely say this is the best version of Lockhart I've read about. That opinion is subject to change in future chapters, but so far he's doing better than the others.

Nah, Lockharts strange competence can't be because of the diary. The books were enchanted before they were sold to the students, Malfoy brought the diary to the bookstore on the day lockhart was there signing his books. It's interesting though, a skilled Gilderoy?
