This would be more surprising. Being human lets him keep his freedom, but becoming a devil makes him stronger. Either is beneficial, so I'd rather be surprised with the outcome.

To be fair, unlike british-based education systems, America doesn't have houses for schools. The closest thing would be college fraternities which I don't believe offer those kinds of benefits.

To be fair, multiple guys being attracted to the same woman isn't really something that crazy. The only part that's slightly crazy is that they'd all be willing to be intimate with the same woman and even then it isn't completely unbelievable. If anything, having several women agree to share the same guy is what's more unbelievable. Historically speaking, the only reason why mostly men had harems was because they were the ones usually in power, and those were the only people capable of affording a harem. In the case of fictional worlds like DXD, Naruto, One Piece, etc, powerful people like Sirzechs, Hashirama, or Whitebeard having harems at any point would make sense, since those worlds have supernatural elements, allowing 'power' to be more physical rather than political. If you really wanted to be technical, Big Mom could actually be said to have had a reverse harem, since she had 43 husbands (even if forced, and discarded them after the birth), and I don't believe she has divorced any of them.

I'd argue that just charmcaster is better. You'd have to deal with Drew getting a divorce to even consider adding her, but also have her still spend time with her son (who'd be the age of her new boyfriend) and ex-husband (who would constantly be reminded of that). There would also be the timeskip between the original and alien force, which you can use that time to have the two of them do whatever they want.

It's been five months since this story claimed that it would be 'adopting' the original, and yet no updates have been made. This is basically taking credit the original deserves while also claiming it will be updated when it won't.

I mean it does make sense. While they might be somewhat important to keep the balance of Japan's supernatural side, the cost of helping them would be too high. That's not even mentioning the fact that the whole reason this happened was because of their racist beliefs and need to target someone who should be considered an exile. The gods have almost certainly had losses this bad before, so its likely something they know how to deal with even if it isn't ideal.

Either or is fine, however if you go for the harem route then there are two things that are important to do. First is make it believable by making them spend time together. Second is to create a hierarchy/favorite list, loving 'equally' is impossible due to compatibility, time spent together, shared interest, etc. Also make sure that some women won't get along with others, since there is no reasonable way other than mind control to make women get along without issues.
