Honeslty if Mal was to go to prison for the muder, they’d probably give him a slap on the wrist. Mal was blessed by 4 gods from different pantheons which is unheard of, and has the highest potential than anyone else in the world. Doubt the government would put him in prison since it wastes a incredible future ally. Then Mal is friends with some of the most powerful blessed in the world, with two of them running some of the best guilds in the world. Finally the guy he murdered was a rapist serving a life sentence. No one would care if he died.
