To have a relationship with Grayfia, I think it would be possible even if she doesn't join James' peerage as queen and you would have to trade pieces with Sierchez, which can be a bit tricky, but if you find a way for Sierchez to trade pieces voluntarily, then it would be fine. If the above doesn't work, Irine would be a very good option and if you can accompany her with Erza and other Fairy Tail girls it would be even better xD. It would also be nice if all the Shuzen sisters join the MC nobility and I'm not sure how many pieces the MC needs for the pawns so that part may be wrong and sorry for the long comment, I had many ideas, although these are just suggestions.

Well I would give Kahlua either a rook to strengthen her super strength and up her durability or go with knight to add speed to the power to make her an evasive power type fighter. Evangeline should be either a bishop to strengthen her magic, which is versatile and balanced, or give her pawns to be more flexible. Grafia must have had a loooooong build up to come to this point in the story. So any quick redemption of Sirzechs is impossible. He is basically a drug addict. Pride is his drug of choice and not the good part, but the most horrible of it. He can go one of 2 ways. 1) the loss of Grafia hit him out of it and he pulls his head out of his a*se. Build himself back up from the ground, ie kills of his pride, starts training again, cut himself off his family for a while, doing the right things and not the easy or popluar things like before and after he did all that come back changed for the better. 2) He spirals down and becomes an antagonist. As for if Grafia should become the queen of his second peerage, I think so. She saw James growing up and never going the easy way, but for what he thought to be the best way, no matter the burden it placed him under, ie what Sirzechs should have done. If you ask for harem member or not that´s a bit of a toss up. On the one hand James is basically what Sirzechs would be idealy. Powerful, thinks of the wellbeing of the devils as a whole, kind, having an overall rounded point of view that takes many things into consideration before acting and having his sin under control, with so many anchors to ground him to be a stable leader. On the other hand he is her "little brother" whom she saw growing up. That is hard to change, if nothing crass happens. Like James actually persueing her, which he more likely then not wont do.

He did talk with Scathach about getting Tiamat as his familiar, and he's probably strong enough to beat her if she tries to kill him.

Personally i think Evangeline would make a good queen since she has both magic as well as cqc for some more male i would suggest Rakan for rook, i would also add Ingvild for either bishop or multiple pawn pieces as well as Roygun Belphegor after she loses her standing because of the King pieces
