That's... not how metal works... Metal bats are mostly aluminum. You need high force/speed to create sparks, as most metals "sparking" is actually chunks of heated metal flying off. Aluminum on, again likely aluminum seats, isn't going to spark off from a human hitting it, even if they weren't injured and tired. There is a reason metal doors don't spark every time you open them quickly, or the hinges of a door when they swing. If this was a rock (I know it's a particular type, but not sure which) you would have a higher chance of making sparks.
