I just shake my head at the romance aspect. It won’t work. The slave/master component makes it impossible. It’ll stifle those feelings every time. He lacks the ability to just surrender, ignore, and get over it because they will always have a situation where she’ll feel it’s necessary to use it against him. I wasn’t sold when it was presented, you nearly had me for a min there, but this just reinforces it. They’ll just dance around each other and this will sit between them like a wall.

Somewhere along the way, he needs to realize that that was the least harmful resolution to the crisis he was in, having lost his ever-lovin' mind. She would have had to fight and hurt him a lot to get him to stop otherwise. Not to mention how much he could (would) have hurt the others!

Sunny either needs to free himself of his aspect or kill her. This is just torturous. I get that he loves her and he doesn’t want to hurt her, but the dude’s entire life and worldview revolves around freedom and survival. I could understand it eaelier in the story, but the way he seems to care about his freedom Less instead of it nawing at him and increasing his obsession feels unrealistic and just forces the romance.
