Guiltythree
the chapter title hinted me in the wrong direction. I thaught it would be like a memory that would allow him to detect mordred who ever his shell is. but this enchantment is kind of cool. tbh I think that this memory is quite underwhelming because it breaks after 1 use. so i assume G3 is cooking some good stuff for this memory.
the mirror can steal one power, not specificity an aspect ability. so could steal flaws, or non specified powers like mordret's power to make reflections, cassie visions, or it could steal the enchantment of memory they could as targets to and it didn't say that have to be alive ink :-)y that he need to reflect there visage.
Couple of theories for how the mirror might be used. 1. Considering Mordrets relation with mirrors, perhaps his flaw is that his reflection/visage is what contains his soul, hence his seeming immortality as although his body has repeatedly been destroyed or abandoned, his soul has always persisted, and also why Valor hasn’t been able to kill him with soul attacks, as when they thought they weee targeting his soul, it was instead an empty shell of a body. G3 has said that his flaw is extremely debilitating provided it gets figured out. If Sunny uses the mirror to trap Mordrets soul it could be destroyed along with the memory. We don’t even know if the mirror has to be used immediately or if after trapping a visage can be used at ones leisure. 2. It could be used to copy Mordrets ability and then invade his soul sea along with the shadows of the dead Sunny harbours in his own. With how fast Mordret fled Sunnys soul sea when he sore how dangerous it was and how fearful he remains of it, it seems safe to assume he can be killed when in a soul sea. 3. Used on some powerful creature such as a god, daemon or powerful NC. 4. Perhaps a bit of a stretch but, could used to use Mordrets ability to possess Weaver in the next nightmare, requiring him to wear Weavers mask to hide his real identity from the daemon of truth Ariel. Leading to the dialogue depicted within the mirrors description, where Weaver, someone meant to be able to craft brilliant lies, is very blatantly lying through his teeth to the deamon of truth. It could also be construed that there is logic in what Weaver said and Ariel’s reactions if everything said was a direct lie.
