Agnes said it herself. Maxi is the person who can make Riftan lose his mind, and as someone who’s never really had anyone, he only comes across as angry at the thought of losing her. Neither one have ever really known love, so their ability to express themselves is so limited and childlike.

I wish their is more chapter than 1 a day...

Riftan's behaviour bothers me so much. First of all you do not tell someone you don't expect anything from them, that is wrong in so many levels. He should have expressed his concern differently I believe. *maybe with less anger-* Maxi, you have to learn to argue back, otherwise this guy won't listen. Stand your ground.

I wish Riftan would have a little more faith in Maxi! She’s insecure enough as it is… I’m glad she defended Ruth against Agnes’ hostility; I really like Ruth even if he’s troublesome.

It seems that things Ruth told Maxi about the Princess' intentions were correct....😊

Such a well written book. He does not know how to express his fear of losing her. He was so scared and it came out as anger. Also he doesn't know how to tell her he is completely in love with her.

I’m glad that Princess Agnes was able to tell Maxi the true intentions (of course it’s because of his father) of her visit but she knows when to stop pressing the matter. Waiting for another chapter is killing me but I still enjoy the thrill for what is going to happen next!

Gods I love it when Riftan treats maxi like she's a princess. Riftan could have worded it better but his love is so strong for maxi. ahhhh if only maxi wasnt so blind to his emotions. he's a shy boy maxi learn to read him please! if she's not gonna show her trueself then she needs to learn to read him.

Annoying to get only 1 chapter a day, can’t enjoy the book at all this way.

It's really frustrating to read how one sided this talk was. Like yes Riftan was expressing his concern but not having Maxi help him at all is really selfish of him. I wish Maxi had the courage right now to speak up and express how she just wants to be useful and be with him even in danger. Riftan definitely doesn't understand why his wife is so desperate to help. So far he doesn't seem to appreciate her hard work in learning magic.

I think once we find out his story/life we are gonna look back on this and go “ooooh, now I get it.”

Maxi is great, she does not want to be some damsel confined in the castle... Riftan loves her too much to understand that. This is really a great story, no stupid misundestandings but relatable issues within a couple.

Everyone knows how much Maxi means to Riftan, she is the only one who doesn't grasp it yet... The fact that she is a noble is enough to be concerned when she is in danger; imaging having to add how much the lord, commander of the Remdragon Knights, cherishes her!!! LOL 😆 🤣 😂 It is too much for everyone...

Being told that there are no expectations set on you HURTS! I know it wasnt Riftan's intention (and we know he loves her too much to hurt her intentionally), but we can see that Maxi cant accept that she cannot be useful to him, which I am so proud of!

Is it possible the princess doesn’t have any ill-will towards Maxi and it’s just that her father conditioned her to feel competitive with other women?
