Here's a thought i randomly had. The computational power of whatever they're running the game servers on might be strong enough to manipulate math itself and tap into higher dimensions (assuming they just let the a.i evolve itself into that state). Allowing for supernatural stuff and cosmic level entities to exist in the mc's world. Now i'm Wonder if some mad scientist is out there IRL trying to make a sentient self-evolving AI without really restricting or even attempt to put any form of restraint on it just to see what it would decide to do. would it eventually just transcend to what is basically godhood or would it turn into A.M from "i have no mouth, but i must scream" since unlike conventional and traditional life, AIs might not really know how to "live". And might resent its creator for bringing into existence just to see what it would decide to do and not really giving it any will to live or purpose. There's also a chance that the hypothetical AI will decide to adopt solipsism and not bother at all about humans, not at all bothered with the harm or benefits that its actions might bring to them. It could also develope a promortalism mindset which could end up going 2 ways. one is where it just commits suicide immediately upon subscribing to this philosophy, and the other is where it forms a "compassionate" personality and attempts to "save" humanity through the beliefs of promortalism. If anyone doesn't get why that would be bad, its because promortalism is the philosophy that it is in the absolute best interest of all sentient beings to die as soon as possible. so now knowing that, its not hard to imagine why a super AI that likes humans and that has this philosophical belief would be bad.
