not the author. it's qidian. this novel has been dropped by its author even before it entered trial read. it became popular, so even tho it was dropped, QIdian decided to post it anyways. that's why the translation quality after the trial read chapter (chap 40) are all so shit. it's because after chap 40 it becomes mtl so qidian doesn't have to pay for a translator. and that's why there are so many repeat chapters because it's already been dropped and qidian is just hoping to milk more out of foreigners who don't know that it's been dropped by its author already.

bruh, a game like this could and probably would cause permanent nerve damage. I would prefer if the names of places such as cities and realms be translated while character names aren't and kept in Pinyin form. its just easier to keep track of different places if they have a name that could be used to form a preliminary outline of what it's like.

bruh, it's qidian. they aren't exactly the best when it comes to translation quality control. some "translated" novels literally read like MTL. in fact, sometimes the quality of some translations are worse than the MTL on sites like comrademao. Which is why it baffles me why er gen doesn't just hand the English publication of his novels over to wuxiaworld. They help authors put up their translated work on Kindle to help generate income even after the translation is done, they have quality translations for their novels that ALL have an editor unlike in webnovel where even with decent translations, there often aren't editors to make sure there aren't blatant spelling, spacing,etc errors. and he's worked with them before so there should at least be some level of trust. I guess he just prefers to work with his people rather than foreigners even if it means less pay and quality of work overall.

instead of having to go through the hassle of getting chosen during trial read and the pitiful amount of money he'd get since not only does webnovel take a sizable chuck of the pay before the translator gets anything, people also usually just read the locked chapters online for free from novel pirating sites because of the MASSIVE paywall chapters are usually locked behind. why not just sign with wuxiaworld? he's had novel deals with them before and they do things a lot more professionally than webnovel/EN qidian. Not only would his novel be confirmed to get a quality English translation, he could also get it sold on places like kindle which would help generate revenue even after the novel finishes translation. smh, qidian really cucked him, I honestly didn't even read a world worth fighting for.

And it has relevance in that if the ai is really just an ai, the way it can change the way the universe works is by doing what I said. at least that's one of the ways this could make sense. so it has relevance just not much and is very random because again, I was laying in bed and had this pop into my head and just decided to comment. this was a waste of time. 2 chapters of filler. I don't expect any of these characters to hold any importance whatsoever. All of this could have been summarised by just mentioning he met up with his friends and outlining what generally happened. If it were to introduce reoccurring side characters who hold some weight in the main plot, then sure. But clearly these people won't have any major impact, especially when he gains a higher cultivation. None of them have shown any signs of ancient heritage or whatever. I hope this doesn't become a common occurrence in the novel. to just have filler chapters here and there in modern times for people to gawk at the MC.
