No consistency. He applied the 3rd and final level of the occlumency spell in the previous chapter but now it turns out it was the 2nd level. Not to mention, the 2nd level was originally applied in the previous school term back in May, and each level was only supposed to last 2 months or less. He had to reapply the spell in the summer due to his maturation but his progress was not lost. Honestly, he should’ve already been done with the spell by September but the author had him first applying they 3rd level in a secret corridor but now we find out it was the 2nd level…again.
