Ah yes, Buddhists using 'oh my god' in a medieval world, how realistic.
Extremely one-dimensional characters. The enemies somehow are too weak and too strong at the same time(similar to MC who at the same time has "strongest physique" and yet isn't as strong as other superhumans although it's never established that them being superhuman longer makes their physique stronger). The lvl 1000 grandpa in the library trope is just lazy. Wouldn't pick it based on avilable chapters.
This is honestly one of the best novels I've read. It has a lot of effort put into it and it shows. The MC is likeable, the system doesn't mean he AFKs until he's OP, Junior sister is fun and the world is very deep. The main issue is that the updates of the raws are very slow. There Should be only about 500 chapters up rn with about two being published per week.
it's not a misleading title. It's a mistranslation(?) , it should be something in line of "milleniumth seclusion". The main issue is that title refers to something that happens 10 chapters before book ends, lol.
This is review of a completed novel, as I finished the remaining chapters reading MTL. It's not bad, but nothing great either. MC and Heroine's relationship is the main highlight of this novel. The problem is that that's all the story has going for it. The system becomes progressively more useless and irrelevant as MC gets stronger and becomes a wordcount filler. There is no urgency or pressure on MC to do anything, which makes the novel boring. There's like three chapters near the end, where MC is under any kind of pressure. The author then decides it was too much and deus ex machinas the pressure away in a most riddiculous manner. It's a slice of life novel that tries to be more and fails miserably. Still, it's a decent read, so 4.0 it is.
This is an amazing novel, though the actual title should be "My master keeps breaking through at the end of his lifespan. " The novel is just about that - The MC has to live out the lifespan of every stage of cultivation, but he's guaranteed to break through. As he cannot cultivate, he gets to dabble deeply into auxillary methods, such as spellcrafting, puppetry, or alchemy. The novel is absolutely amazing, as it focuses on the life of a cultivator instead of cultivation. I haven't read it in a while, but from what I managed the author also makes sure not to bore reader to death by making MC stuck on a cultivation stage for 1k chapters.
I just want to point out that this means he couldn't use his legendary skill because it costs more than he has mana. Thus, last chapter couldn't have happened.
(fully caught up on raws) This is the best of this genre that's not a premium exclusive. The main pairing is awesome and the girl is not a prop. The comedy relief is 10/10. So far, the story is not repetitive. The main arc that connects all worlds is super interesting and will absolutely suck you into the plot. One of best offers in a long while, recommend voting for it.
I'm up to date on raws and it's pretty good, at least much higher quality than the usual sewage we get. Unfortunately, this story is a slowburn. The worldbuilding is interesting, the characters are fleshed out but each small arc takes about 150 chapters. Hopefully by chapter 1000 the first big arc will be completed and MC will get out of novice village. I recommend voting and adding this to your libraries.
I'm up to date on the raws. It's not great. MC get's a busted ability early on and author has no idea what to do with it. It theoretically has a drawback, but not really so he just gets OP system+ OP talent and facerolls everyone. The main antagonist is contradictory, because he's disproportionally dumb(Like, if he was as dumb as he's written there would be no way he had his cultivation base). Main heroine is an irrelevant plot device. The biggest atrocity is the cultivation syatem. It heavily references Honghuang/Prehistoric, but doesn't explain, so if you didn't read source material you'll be confused af. Then author decides to give the borrowed concepts his own twist and power levels get absolutely incomprehensible.
I've read raws up to like ch 345... The story is very good in the first half, but then author decides to venture into Kingdom Building to pad the wordcount. Transcending Tribulation realm is where author's creativity plummets and he randomly decides to drop Cultivation World setting and transfer to pure fantasy with cultivators. Would not recommend reading, or wasting time TLing this.
It's incredibly disjointed. Up to chapter 70, it's a very interesting original novel, but afterwards author starts referencing classics, making the plot feel disjointed, introducing major plotholes and getting lost in his own ramblings. Overall 2/10, if it continued original plot outline, solid 8/10
The worst mess I've seen on this site. First 30 chapters are very interesting, then author realized the idea sells and started retconning the s! it out of the plot to make it longer without changing anything before. Beasts have stages and levels, but apparently levels don't apply to the MC, so the whole system makes no sense. then there's cultivation, where MC advanced from bronze to silver rank at least 3 times due to constant nerfing. The academy makes no sense for same reason - the best academy on the continent gets retconned to silver cultivation level, which is MC's level, yet isn't due to constant retcons, then it gets retconned back to normal, so the whole arc makes absolute zero sense. 1/10 just don't waste your time.
