i think main issue here is that as soon as novels reach 500-600 chaps, the quality suddenly hits rock bottom, best example being Supreme Magus. truly top-tier novels are those that are still entertaining to read after 1k+ chaps. Some of these are LoTM, LoHP, CCG, ISSTH. The only WN thats is <500chaps and is still top class imho is Beware of Chicken. Research+Organisation is just as important as actually writing.
Have faith, youâre a good writer. Your descriptions are vived but trimmed down, never overstaying their welcome. The characters all have unique voices and act like real people. The dialogue is perfect, memorable but trim enough that my eyes immediately bounce down to the next line. And the plot! Each beat is interesting, and different. Scarlet mageâs identity crisis, the mystery of the schools advanced technology, the villain attack. Itâs all connected but varied, itâs not one note. Thatâs why Iâm always excited for the next chapter.
I think its very hard for a webnovel to be interesting after 500 chapters. You need progression And change and its so easy for the right balance to be lost... maybe the mc doesnt have interesting goals, maybe relations GOt stuck or weirdly changed and the most common of all the mc got too op and everything lost sense. Novels that are really good after 1000 chapters are among the elite. id recommend 2: reverend insanity and lord of mysteries.
