Overall I'm really glad he lost his eye, though I would have preferred he lost his leg or arm so he can't go into battlefield anymore. I mean it makes just zero sense that even total noob (which mc certainly is not supposed to be) would choose to fight in front lines as commander, as the position just necessitates being out of battle to effectively command troops. But I will that this as sign that even though mc is essentially braindead aside from his ability to kingdom build, that he wonẗ really be able to fight now that he lost his eye so he wonẗ do it anymore :D

ok, I'm done with the book, the MC is an idiot who only faces bigger idiots, standard wuxia hidden in a slightly different skin. I was so hoping this book will be like Mediterranean hegemon but instead, it's another idiot who thinks personal martial prowess is the best. And why oh why would he fight against a medieval army in such a scenario I have no clue. Guns and cannons give him a clear advantage on a field battle, where his forces have clear lines of sight. he should have just lined up his army on a field and presented an "opportunity" to the enemy. With the arrogance of his brother, he would have fought, especially taking he had nearly 3 times the men. He just wasted the lives of the soldiers in his army for absolutely no gain.

kKind of sucks he lost an eye. I thought it was a blow near his eye.

Finally, the brother dies. Can't wait to see who's gonna be the next main opponent. The Church is probably the final frontier I guess?
