I dont understand why he is still obsessed with the whole plotline thing. I thought he was going to stop treating it like his novel? Also he has already screwed with the plot so much which I thought he realized.

I am curious why he thinks following the plot is good. Now that I think about it he never wrote the ending and his planned ending had Kevin almost dying so following the original is suicide. It seems he is still coping a bit otherwise he will breakdown from the hopelessness.
