I'm honestly kind of disappointed by how this is going. From the time he beat up Ma Qiang, it felt like the author's just going to use the rage meter as a deus ex machina every time. And the writing seems bad; because the author doesn't describe Lin Xiu's inner thoughts/emotions even though the entire point is about feeling angry, the narrative makes it seem like Lin Xiu is calm even though it should be the direct opposite. It also feels unrealistic that Lin Xiu is just suddenly good at dodging. Even the teacher states that Lin Xiu's physique isn't good enough for that, and Lin Xiu before transmigration doesn't seem like a person who exercised or practiced martial arts, so I don't think he should be able to dodge as well as he does here. With the lottery thing, it feels like the author is giving a lot of help (almost too much) to the protagonist. Not only does he have a system, but he also gets to obtain beneficial prizes. Even if some of those prizes are not as useful, all of them give him an advantage. I just feel like the protagonist isn't struggling at all. So whenever he gets something or increases his stats, it doesn't really feel like he earned it.
This seems like a standard wish fulfillment power fantasy novel, and oh boy are there are many like it. As it currently stands, it feels like something to turn off your brain to, and watch the fight scenes. Kinda like a generic shounen anime. Not bad, but not good either. Points for the good English though. My main concern is how will this novel differentiate itself from the rest. How will the plot develop? Will there be some grand conspiracy behind mc's future reincarnation? Are there others like him? Will mc grow as a person and develop ambitions? Or will this be a generic face slapping simulator, with flat static characters? Only time will tell how this all turns out.
I'm no expert in writing, but I feel like rushed and annoyed reading the first 5 chapter. Like there is something missing like. Foundations or background story. Like building his physique or lying low. Like killing bugs for a few days. You don't become an expert in fighting just becuase you have a system a second AGO. I've read a lot of novels. The first 5 chapters are the most important parts of your story. Why? Becuase you have to get them on the hook to get them. Like if your a fish and see bait. The fish actual feels the bait for a few seconds before fish takes the bait. It observe if its worth it or not. Good world view but. NO CHARACTER. ROBOTIC RUSHED NO BACKGROUND OR FOUNDATION BORING.
